Mission

 

Responsible for maintaining all the Loading and Unloading systems of the Unit, namely the control of all activities related to the operation and maintenance of the oil reception, storage and export equipment, ensuring its safe and efficient operation.

 

Main activities and responsibilities

 

Maintains surveillance for a 12-hour shift on the Loading and Unloading systems inside and outside the Loading and Unloading Control Room, observing the condition of the pipes, parameters, control panel, in order to ensure the safe operation of the equipment.
Report all anomalies, non-compliant and potentially dangerous situations to the Marine Supervisor (or Superintendent of Loading and Unloading as applicable).
Operates loading and unloading valves, heating coil, inert gas and ballast valves, pumps and crude oil washing machinery under the supervision of the Marine Supervisor.
Records empty space in tanks, water/oil interface, measures temperature in tanks as requested by the Marine Supervisor.
Assumes control of all activities related to the function and equipment for receiving, storing and exporting oil.

Maintains Cargo and Ballast equipment, including the pump room, tank filling control devices, oil washing machines (COW), hoses, etc.
Performs other tasks as requested by the Marine Supervisor.
Performs Isolation tasks in accordance with the Company's procedures, performs Isolation tests, when the activities are completed, restores the previous situation in accordance with the procedures.
Maintains continuous contact with the Central Control Centre.
Participates in the implementation of the Company's Permit to Work System and supports its implementation, following instructions and procedures, carrying out a correct Risk Assessment and Isolation Standards.
Participates in the prevention of accidents in the surroundings, property, people and environment, following the procedures in response to emergency situations, respecting the different roles and responsibilities of each individual in these situations.

 

Education

 

High School / Sailor / Mechanics Technical Course.

 

Experience

 

Minimum 3 years of experience

 

Technical skills

 

Computer knowledge from the perspective of the user (Excel, Word, Outlook). Good knowledge of the English language.
Deck Area Classification, STCW Reg.AIII / 4 or OOW STCW Reg.
AIII/1 general cargo skills including assembly and coded welding qualification.
Experience in operations with large vessels or desirable FPSO.
Fit Medically compliant with international offshore standards.
