The Mechanical Design Department in Monaco is responsible of the design, validation, manufacturing and testing of Swivel and Manufactured Parts (swivels and supports bogies, chain connectors, drive systems, skid tools…).

 

The Mechanical Design Department in Monaco is responsible of the design, validation, manufacturing and testing of Swivel and Manufactured Parts (swivels and supports bogies, chain connectors, drive systems, skid tools…). Our design activities are done with the 3Dexperience Platform. And in order to ensure the numerical continuity between the CAD and the CAE, we changed the FEA software. In fact, Dassault Systems developed a smart solution between Catia V6 and ABAQUS CAE in order to keep a link between the CAD and the simulation. This investissment has as objective to improve the productivity by avoiding to repeat the whole numerical modelization when the CAD changes for example. Thus, when the designer modify the CAD, the CAE engineer has just to update the FE model and run it before updating the calculation report.

 

The transition between Ansys and Abaqus started in 2020 and for that, a trainee transfers some of Ansys FE models to Abaqus ones.

The next steps in the Abaqus deployment are:

- Testing and validation of the connection between the CAD and the CAE.

- Finalization of the transfert from Ansys to Abaqus – consolidation in official reports

- Implementation of FEA methodologies and guidelines in order to obain reliable and robust results.

 

Profile

We are looking for a curious, rigorous and tenacious student (final year of engineer studies), very comfortable with FE methods and softwares.
