Main missions:
The Global Control of Work (CoW) Engineer is responsible supporting the development, implementation and maintenance of the Control of Work system across all of our operating fleet of FPSOs. This includes ensuring safe and efficient execution of all activities that require control of work, such as maintenance, construction, and other high-risk tasks. The role involves monitoring application of permit-to-work systems, ensuring compliance with industry regulations, and promoting a culture of safety.
ROLE CONTRIBUTION
Leadership and Strategy:
- Support developments of the Global Control of Work strategy aligned with corporate objectives;
- Be a member of the CoW team to support effective implementation and continuous improvement of the CoW processes;
- Foster a safety-first culture across all levels of the organization to ensure robust operating integrity.
Control of Work System Management:
- Maintain the design, implementation, and updates of the global Control of Work system for Operations, including but not limited to, permit-to-work, isolation and inhibit management, and risk assessment processes;
- Support maintenance of CoW procedures to ensure compliance with local and international regulations, industry standards, and company policies;
- Conduct regular reviews and audits of CoW practices to ensure effectiveness and compliance.
Training and Development:
- Deliver training programs for employees at all levels on CoW procedures and safety practices;
- Ensure that all personnel involved in CoW processes are competent and certified as required;
- Promote continuous learning and improvement within the CoW function.
Risk Management and Incident Investigation:
- Support application of CoW processes including risk assessments and application of controls, and ensure appropriate mitigation measures are in place for high-risk activities;
- Support investigations into CoW-related incidents and near misses, identifying root causes and ensure corrective actions are implemented;
- Monitor and analyze CoW data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
Stakeholder Engagement:
- Collaborate with other stakeholders to ensure alignment and integration of CoW processes;
- Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders, including clients, to represent the company's CoW practices;
- Act as a point of contact for CoW matters during internal and external audits.
Continuous Improvement:
- Stay updated on industry best practices and technology advancements related to CoW;
- In conjunction with the CoW Manager, drive innovation and improvement initiatives to enhance the safety and efficiency of CoW processes;
- Implement feedback mechanisms to ensure continuous improvement in CoW practices.
Job requirements
School/studies/degree:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Operations Management, or a related field;
- Vocational Qualifications combined with relevant industry experience may serve as an alternative.
Experience:
- Minimum 8 years in Oil and Gas Industry;
- Minimum 4 years of experience in Operation and in relation with the position requirements;
- Field Experience is required;
- FPSO experience is required.

SPECIFIC DETAILS
- This position will require travel to various company locations, including offshore;
- The role involves working in both office and Operations environments, and will include interfacing with Clients, Contractors and Suppliers.
