Purpose

  • As Mooring System Engineer, you drive and are the focal point in Asset Integrity for mooring integrity execution and the local User for the Digital Mooring application(s). Your role is crucial in ensuring the integrity, safety, and regulatory compliance of mooring system, contributing to the overall operational efficiency of the company.

Responsibilities

  • You develop mooring systems for floating structures, including FPSOs, platforms, and vessels.
  • You perform engineering analyses and simulations to evaluate mooring performance under various environmental conditions.
  • You collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate mooring designs with overall project requirements.
  • You oversee inspection and maintenance of mooring systems, ensuring adherence to safety and quality standards.
  • You troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to mooring operations.
  • You prepare technical reports, documentation, and presentations for internal and external stakeholders.
  • You stay updated with industry trends, technologies, and regulatory changes to ensure compliance and best practices.

Education

  • Bachelor Degree in Hydrodynamics/Offshore engineering/Naval engineering or a related field

Experience

  • Minimum of 3 year of experience in mooring system design or at least 2 years in engineering of offshore floating structures FPSO, Semi-submersibles, TLPs, FLNG…
  • Knowledge of International Codes and Standards related to mooring & station-keeping of permanent structures (ABS fpi rules & position mooring,FPS Guide 82, API RP2SK, BV NR493, DNV OS-E301, ISO 19901-7).
  • Basic knowledge in material science and fabrication of forged steel components.
  • Basic knowledge of mooring related mechanical equipment (winches, tensioning systems).
  • Knowledge of OrcaFlex, and Ariane mooring softwares.
  • General understanding of Asset Integrity Principles
