Purpose
- As an It Security, Performance and Control Director, you oversee and ensure the security, performance, and governance of the organization's IT infrastructure. Develop and implement strategies to protect systems and data, monitor IT performance, and enforce compliance with regulatory and internal standards. Lead teams in identifying risks, optimizing system performance, and enhancing control measures to safeguard the organization's technology assets.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage IT security initiatives: Oversee the development and implementation of robust IT security strategies and policies to safeguard the organization’s digital assets.
- Ensure performance optimization: Monitor and enhance the performance of IT systems and infrastructure, ensuring optimal efficiency and minimal downtime.
- Conduct security risk assessments: Identify and mitigate potential security risks, conducting regular audits and assessments to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams: Collaborate with other departments to integrate security measures into all aspects of IT projects and operations.
- Develop and enforce control procedures: Establish and maintain control procedures to ensure the integrity, confidentiality, and availability of data and IT resources.
- Manage incident response: Lead the response to security incidents, ensuring rapid and effective resolution to minimize impact on business operations.
- Mentor and train team members: Provide guidance and training to IT staff on security protocols, best practices, and emerging threats.
- Report to senior management: Provide regular updates to senior management on security performance, risks, and mitigation strategies, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
Education
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, cybersecurity, or a related field is required.
- Certifications such as CISSP (Certified Information Systems Security Professional), CISM (Certified Information Security Manager), or PMP (Project Management Professional) are preferred.
- Master’s Degree in cybersecurity, information technology, business administration, or a related field is preferred but not mandatory.
- Proficiency in English is essential for effective communication with team members, stakeholders, and external vendors.
Experience
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in IT security, infrastructure management, or a related field, with at least 5 years in a leadership or managerial role.
- Proven experience in developing, implementing, and overseeing IT security strategies, policies, and procedures to ensure the protection of organizational assets.
- Strong technical background in designing, implementing, and managing security frameworks, risk management, and compliance with industry standards (such as ISO/IEC 27001).
- Experience with IT service management (ITSM) frameworks, including incident management, change management, and problem management processes.
- Knowledge of security operations tools and techniques, including SIEM (Security Information and Event Management), IDS/IPS (Intrusion Detection System/Intrusion Prevention System), and threat intelligence platforms.
- Experience in auditing and compliance processes to ensure adherence to regulatory requirements and internal policies.
- Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams, mentor technical staff, and collaborate effectively with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to manage complex security projects and present findings and recommendations to senior leadership.
