As an IT Project Management Lead, you lead the overall planning, coordination, and execution of Projects within a portfolio , ensuring they are completed on time, within scope, and aligned with business objectives. Oversee project teams, manage resources, and mitigate risks to ensure successful project delivery. Drive continuous improvement in project management practices and maintain effective communication with stakeholders.

 

Responsabilities

  • Be the focal point of a Portfolio Manager and have full visibility on his project portfolio.
  • Lead and manage a team of project managers to ensure the successful execution of IT projects, aligning with organizational goals, capcity and strategies.
  • Oversee the development and implementation of project management methodologies, ensuring consistency and best practices across all projects.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams, including IT, business stakeholders, and external vendors, to achieve project milestones and deliverables on time and within budget.
  • Monitor project progress, manage risks, and implement corrective actions to address any issues or delays.
  • Provide regular project status updates to senior management and stakeholders, ensuring transparency and alignment with business objectives.
  • Mentor and coach project engineers and managers, enhancing their skills in project planning, execution, and risk management.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement within the project management team, driving process enhancements and innovation.
  • Ensure all projects comply with regulatory requirements and internal policies throughout their lifecycle.

 

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field is required.
  • Certifications such as PMP (Project Management Professional), ITIL (Information Technology Infrastructure Library), or PRINCE2 are preferred.
  • Master's Degree in IT Management, Business Administration, or a related discipline is an advantage but not mandatory.
  • Proficiency in English is essential for effective communication with team members, stakeholders, and external partners.
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in IT project management, with at least 3 years in a leadership role managing project teams and overseeing multiple projects.
  • Proven experience in leading IT projects from initiation to completion, including scope management, scheduling, budgeting, and risk assessment.
  • Strong expertise in applying project management methodologies and frameworks, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives and delivering projects on time and within budget.
  • Experience in managing and coordinating cross-functional teams, including IT staff, business stakeholders, and external vendors.
  • Demonstrated ability to navigate project challenges and conflicts, ensuring project goals are met while maintaining team morale.
  • Proficiency in project management tools such as Microsoft Project, JIRA, or similar platforms for tracking progress and managing resources.
  • Effective leadership and mentoring skills, with a proven ability to develop and guide project managers and team members.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with experience in reporting project status to senior management and stakeholders.
  • Familiarity with IT governance, regulatory compliance, and risk management practices relevant to IT projects.
