  1. Job description

Responsibilities & Main Tasks

  • As Local Indirect Procurement Supervisor, you will implement the Indirect Procurement strategy for SBM´s office in India, in coordination with the global Indirect Procurement policy and strategy.
  • You will translate the Indirect Procurement strategy into robust operational plans.
  • You will be responsible to achieve quantitative and qualitative targets that you would have assigned with your managers (local and global) and stakeholders.
  • You will promote the new Indirect Procurement policies within the Bangalore office: you will also support and facilitate the implementation of SBM´s ERP IFS in India.
  • Part of your responsibility will be to review and adjust Indirect Procurement procedures in light of local regulations, risk and opportunities, always in coordination with local and global management.
  • Considering the implementation of this new ERP and new ways of working, you will be responsible for ensuring that the Company processes are fully understood and implemented across the various departments and functions.
  • Amongst your objectives, you will have to demonstrate that the level of internal control is improving. To that end, you will organize the supplier risk management and execute internal control testing campaigns.
  • You will be given the overall responsibility for various Key Indirect Procurement suppliers.
  • You proactively engage with third parties to become the business partner of choice of the Department Managers and Head of Functions to implement the categories management and drive strategic / key suppliers.
  • You develop and maintain the strategic relationship with the key suppliers after PO is addressed, while implementing the RACI with stakeholders for all suppliers.
  • You will define key KPI’s and will monitor them, empowering straight forward reporting alongside team member.
  • You will supervise the small but talented local team of category buyer
  • You will be requested to understand local priorities, plan and execute accordingly, and have the ability to distinguish and align with your stakeholders on the “must have” and “nice to have”
  • Your matrix reporting lines (Local and Global) will guarantees adequate performance and internal control is always maintained

Job Requirements
Specific skills / expertise:

  • Background in procurement and supplier management.
  • Previous experience in Indirect Procurement, minimum of 10 years.
  • As you will be one of the ambassadors of the Business and Administrative Solution (BAS) in India, previous experience or knowledge in Facilities, Travel, VISA or Mobility is a plus.
  • Master’s degree.
  • Expert in negotiation, supplier management and procurement value chain.
  • Bring strategic vision, while being result oriented in the operational implementation.
  • Supplier risk and compliance expertise is a plus.
  • Fluency in English.
  • Technology savy
  • Experience in process improvement and internal control.
