Job Description:
- Hands on experience in Electrical power generation/distribution systems and Sizing & Selection of Electrical Equipment.
- Perform the Sizing Calculations - Power cables, Transformer, Diesel Generators, UPS, Battery Charger & Lighting Calculation.
- Hands on Experience to carry out Power System Studies – Load Flow, Short Circuit, Motor Starting, Relay Protection, Arc Flash & Harmonic Analysis using ETAP
- Preparation of the key design deliverables complying to the quality & design integrity :
- Load List
- Design Basis / Design Philosophy
- Specifications
- Data Sheets
- Single Line Diagrams & Schematics.
- Perform Procurement Engineering – RFQ / Vendor Offer Review / Technical Clarification & Technical Bid Evaluation for Generator, Transformer, HV/LV Switchgears, VFD, UPS, Power Management System and AC & DC Distribution Boards.
- Review the Vendor Offers, Rise Technical Clarifications & Provide Technical Bid Evaluation inputs for the Key Mechanical Packages.
- Vendor Document Review & Timely incorporation of the Vendor data into applicable Design Deliverables.
- Selection of the Electrical Equipment per Hazardous Area Classification Drawings.
- Prepare Cable Schedules / Cable List & Electrical Bulks MTO.
- Responsible to deliver the Electrical Design compliant with the applicable International, codes & standards / regulatory & Client requirements.
- Coordination with other Disciplines for interfaces and design dependencies.
- Familiar with Power/Earthing/Lighting/Equipment Layouts & Material Take Offs
- Sound Knowledge of international codes and standards IEC, API, IS, IP, ABS/BV/DNV design specific requirements.
- Familiar with ISO/Quality procedures, requirements and compliance.
Job requirements:
- Academic : BE in Electrical Engineering
- Exp: 8 to 10 years of relevant experience in the Oil & Gas industry. Experience of Offshore / FPSO EPC Projects is desirable.
- SW or Tools: Hands on Experience in ETAP, Aveva Electrical, Chalmlite / Dialux, Navis works Freedom.
