ROLE PURPOSE
The HR Officer provides support to HR Business partners and other relevant stakeholders.
You support the HR Business Partners and business leaders in the successful implementation/ execution/ monitoring of policies/ processes & projects, whilst ensuring a strong focus on SBM values.
You interpret, apply and uphold Company policies and procedures with a high degree of customer focus and confidentiality.
ROLE CONTRIBUTION
1. In order that the business can achieve a competitive advantage through its Human Capital Strategy, YOU ARE TO:
1.1. Develop a good understanding of the business drivers as well as the business targets
1.2. Give adequate support to employees and managers in the application and promotion of relevant policies & procedures
1.3. Monitor and support the local execution of HR expertise area policies, procedures, processes and instruments
1.4. Keep up with current and possible future policies, practices, and trends in the organization, with the competition, and in the marketplace
1.5. Support in the execution of Talent Acquisition (i.e. job posting, sourcing, selection) and integration/ onboarding
1.6. Deploy and follow-up Group HR projects and annual topics
The measure of your effectiveness in this will be:
 Performance feedback from business and HR stakeholders
 Proven sharing of best practices

2. In order that assigned activities are completed successfully (on time and according to quality requirements), YOU ARE TO:
2.1. Completing assigned tasks with accuracy and within agreed time frame as well as in compliance with work requirements, applicable employment laws & regulations and applicable policies, codes, standards, regulations and industry practices
2.2. (When necessary) Identify areas requiring more detailed understanding of expectations
2.3. Review data, perform analytics and prepare presentations and suggestions for the HR Business Partner and other relevant HR stakeholders
2.4. Keep up with current and possible future policies, practices, and trends in the organization, with the competition, and in the marketplace
2.5. Proactively provide customer base with status updates including timely feedback regarding potential issues/ solutions while maintaining a high level of confidentiality and customer service
2.6. Maintain and be proficient in software tools used to plan, coordinate and execute tasks within agreed time frame and budget
The measure of your effectiveness in this will be:
 Performance feedback from business and HR stakeholders
 Timeliness and accuracy in completing tasks
 Confidentiality in all Human Resources matters
 Successfully pass internal/external audits
 Cost of Non-Quality due to rework
 No surprise issues amongst stakeholder base
3. In order to have effective interfaces with other HR expertise area, HR Generalists, business, other relevant SBM functions and external stakeholders, YOU ARE TO:
3.1. Develop understanding of customer base / HR Community/ other relevant SBM Functions orientation and preferences in order to anticipate needs
3.2. Engage with HR community or other stakeholders to share developments, align approach and pro-actively share best practices in order to enable continuous improvements
3.3. Proactively engage with local HR to ensure that the deliveries are aligned with local requirements and to avoid the “surprise” element which enables on time and within budget finalization
3.4. Establish and maintain professional communication with (internal and external) stakeholders
The measure of your effectiveness in this will be:
 Customer base/ HR Community/ other relevant SBM Functions satisfaction level
 Ability to interact with customers at all levels
