- Job description
As Project Engineer you will be assigned to support the Global Project Manager for Integrity and inspection on multiple small-scale projects (about 50) pertaining to Integrity disciplines (Naval, Mooring, Piping and Pressure Vessels, Fabric Maintenance, Corrosion, Ex and Topside Structure).
In order to support proactively all the Projects, you are to:
- Liase with all the team members to recover the information required by the Project manager
- Maintain the project organization organigram
- Prepare progress report as required by Project Manager or directly by the Global organization (Integrity and Inspection Manager or Leads)
- Support Project Manager in communication and reporting across all internal Project members and external stakeholders
- Support the PM on the macro-plan with your ability to analyze, maintain, track schedule of activities
- Develop and maintain dashboarding for Projects
- Depending on circumstances, you may be asked to have meetings, on behalf of the Integrity Discipline Leads for specific Projects/streams
- You will develop macro/routines to control and build the budget for Integrity and Inspection, both for controlling SBM man-hours and outside expenditures, including engineering activities, the purchasing of third party goods and services and the management of the relevant subcontracts.
- Experience in Project Controls activities demonstrating an ability to review, analyze, maintain and track budget and financial forecasts
- Be a proven team player able to work in large teams operating globally, will demonstrate good communication skills and an understanding of cultural challenges. This position might require international mobility.
Job requirements:
- Bachelor or master’s degree in Engineering and 1-2 years track record in managing projects in the Offshore Oil and Gas Industry, preferably with FPSO related projects and possibly with background in one of the Integrity disciplines (Naval, Mooring, Piping and Pressure Vessels, Fabric Maintenance, Corrosion, Ex and Topside Structure).
- 2 years in Oil and Gas or related Industry
- Knowledge of Excel, Microsoft Planning or similar tools, PowerBI
- Knowledge of Budgeting control tools (i.e. Business objects)
- Knowledge of ERP systems (i.e IFS)
- Strong Reporting and analysis capabilities
