Job Title: Mechanical Equipment Engineer – Digital

Job Description:

 

 Preparation of Rotating equipments list to be added in PI application (APP3)

 Preparation of What To Monitor list for the Rotating Equipments and its applicability

 Identifying the new elements & new attributes addition in PI AF

 Preparation of RFQs for third party bidder for PI AF and PI Vision dashboards & Subsystems and SVGs

creation for the Rotating Equipments

 Review of bidder technical proposal and preparation of TQs on bidder’s proposal in order to meet the

technical requirements

 Preparation of RFPs, in order to place order to the successful bidder

 Preparation/review of various SQL files such as PI Tag lists, Static attribute list, Formula applicability list,

etc. and PI data mapping activities for the various Rotating Equipments

 Understanding & enabling the complex abnormal behavior monitoring, Analysis & calculation

requirements of critical rotating equipments

 Defining the Health points and Preparation of Health point register based on the criticality of Anomalies

 Preparation of Mockup SVGs for the packages and subsystems of Rotating Equipments and co-ordination

activities for the preparation/review of SVGs required for the PI vision displays

 Support activities, documents preparation for UAT, Deployment activities of Rotating Equipments PI

application (APP3)

 Updating the SVG status list and Master SQLs for the Rotating Equipments

 Troubleshooting bugs in PI AF, PI Vision is an added advantage

 Understand the project scope clearly, plan and deliver assigned tasks with accuracy within agreed time

frame

 Utilize your technical expertise to develop safe and quality solutions in support of project and discipline

requirements

 Identify areas requiring more detailed instructions and clarify understanding/expectation as necessary

with Discipline Lead; ensure no surprises

 Complete tasks in compliance with applicable industry standards/regulations and work procedures

 Proactively interface with Discipline Lead and peers for resolving issues, sharing information and progress

 Perform thorough self-check of all deliverables prior to submission for review /approval

 Properly plan work to allow adequate time for documents to be thoroughly checked to ensure accuracy

 Understand how assigned tasks will affect all disciplines and stakeholders; provide timely and accurate

input to other disciplines in support of their design requirements in meeting deadlines

 Produce consistent/organized documents in a well-structured format to clearly convey required

information


Job requirements:

 Degree in Mechanical Engineering

 Experience in Rotating equipments in Oil & Gas Industry, FPSO experience is an added advantage


Experience:

 Minimum 10 years of work experience in Rotating Equipment Detail Design Engineering projects

 Work experience in Rotating Equipment Operations is an added advantage

 Experience as Requisition Engineer for various types of Rotating Equipments such as pumps, compressors,

(Turbines driven compressor & GTGs is an added advantage) and auxiliaries such as Mechanical seals, Oil

system, etc.

 Involved in vendor document review / approval for various types of rotating equipments in Detail

Engineering projects

 Work experience in Digital Projects for Rotating Equipments Monitoring activities is an added advantage

 

Skill requirement:

 Good knowledge in the following softwares is an added advantage

- PI System Osisoft , AF structure & PI Vision

- PI datalink & PI Builder

- Inkscape

- SQL Database

- MS office Macro

 Good Knowledge in international codes such as API for the Pumps, Compressors & Gas turbines
