Operations Data Steward

Purpose
- As Operations Data Steward you are responsible for Bill Of Materials (BOM) enrichments for ensuring the completeness, accuracy, and consistency of BOM data within an organization. You work closely with engineering and manufacturing teams to collect, analyze, and enrich BOM data to support product design, manufacturing, asset management/maintenance and supply chain management.
Responsibilities
- You lead pro-actively the spares migration activities in the ERP systems updating data in a timely manner
- You ensure data accuracy: This involves verifying the accuracy of BOM data, including part numbers, descriptions, quantities, and costs, and ensuring that it is consistent with engineering and manufacturing specifications. This involves adding additional data to the BOM, such as supplier information, lead times, and alternative parts, to support supply chain management and cost optimization
- You manage BOM change requests and ensuring that all changes are documented and approved in accordance with company procedures
- You collaborate with cross-functional teams. This involves working closely with engineering, manufacturing, procurement, and quality teams to ensure that BOM data meets the needs of each department
- You select data quality metrics. This involves developing and monitoring data quality metrics to ensure that BOM data is accurate, complete, and consistent
- You develop data management procedures. This involves developing and implementing procedures for BOM data management, including data entry, verification, enrichment, and change management.
- Strive towards LEAN Processes
- You Train personnel in BOM activities fundamentals and department initiatives as required
- You Input to minimum/maximum holding levels
Education
- Preferable Bsc Mechanical Engineering or Technical Qualification in an Engineering Discipline with experience comproved
Experience
- Minimum 3-10 years experiences in: Rotating activities: Intermediate knowledge in turbo-compressors, screw compressors, diesel engines, cranes, centrifugal pumps, duplex/triplex pumps, etc. Previous experience on equipment and spare parts specification for rotating equipment
- Static Equipment activities: Intermediate knowledge in gate-ball, plug, butterfly valves, heat exchangers, separators, chokes, etc. Previous experience on equipment and spare parts specification for valves and static equipment
- Electrical activities: Intermediate knowledge in electric motors, panels, transducers, sensors, junction boxes, EEX equipment, etc. Previous experience on equipment and spare parts specification for electric equipment and instrumentation
- FPSO or experience within the Oil and Gas Industry preferred but not essential
- A good understanding of major packages and cross-discipline awareness
- To apply a pro-active approach to retrieve information from Subject Matter Experts when working area of technical expertise.
- Good working knowledge of CMMS ERP Systems (IFS or similar)
- ISO 14224 Awareness preferred
