Planning Engineer - Resource Center India

Job description:

• Utilize project planning tools such as Primavera P6 and MS Projects to create and maintain project            schedules.
• Develop detailed schedules including Level 3/4/5 schedules to effectively plan project activities.
• Prepare Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) and activity coding in accordance with project requirements.
• Execute planning and progress measurement considering project constraints and execution requirements.
• Set up planning tools and ensure their effective utilization throughout the project lifecycle.
• Generate monthly progress reports including schedule updates, progress calculation, progress curves, progress variance analysis, and delay analysis.
• Monitor project progress on a weekly, bi-weekly, and monthly basis, updating schedules accordingly.
• Analyse project delays, baseline versus actual variations, and implement corrective actions in consultation with the Project Manager.
• Organize, support, and lead schedule and progress review meetings with stakeholders including Owner, Client, and Internal Management.
• Conduct critical issues analysis and prepare early warning reports to mitigate potential risks.
• Collaborate with project team members to develop strategies for overcoming schedule challenges and delays.
• Ensure compliance with project timelines, milestones, and deliverables.

Job requirements:

Academic:          

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field.
• Proven experience working as a Planning Engineer or similar role in the construction, engineering, or related industry. (Minimum 3 years)
• Relevant certifications in project management or planning would be an advantage.
• Knowledge of project management principles and methodologies.

Exp:                    

Total 10+ years of experience with minimum 2 years’ experience in Offshore with Industrial control system.

SW or tools:

Proficiency in project planning software such as Primavera P6, MS Projects, etc.
