Principal Designer - Electrical - Resource Center India

Job Description:

• Responsible to deliver the design compliant with the applicable International, National laws/ regulations and client specific requirements.
• Ensure proper coordination of detail design technical issues and liaise with other DLD’s for interfaces and design dependencies.
• Liaise & Coordinate with Client / Project Team for timely delivery of the design activities.  
• Familiar with design guidelines, procedures and core electrical design concepts.      
• Responsible to provide construction assistance ensuring the Site Queries/Technical Queries are resolved & responded on time.
• Plan and closely monitor the design activities and deliverables are completed per agreed schedule.
• Lead the 3D Model Review with Clients and timely incorporation of the Comments into the design and respective deliverables.
• Check & approve the 2D Deliverables prepared by the design team as per agreed schedule.
• Ensure that 3D design, 2D Layouts and Drawings are delivered with quality, design integrity and achieving the first time right.
• Ensure the successful completion of the design activities and deliverables within the agreed budget.
• Hands on Experience in 3D Modelling / Clash Resolution using E3D / PDMS.
• Hands on Experience in Lighting Calculation using Chalmlite / Dialux.
• Monitor & Ensure that Vendor Design Data of Packages is incorporated into the 3D Model and 2D Deliverables.  
• Familiar with ISO/Quality procedures, requirements and compliance.
• Hands on Experience in Standardisation, Optimisation of the design procedures and deliverables.

Job requirements:

• Academic : Diploma in Electrical Engineering
• Exp: 15 to 18 years of relevant experience in the Oil & Gas industry. Minimum 5 Years in  Offshore /  FPSO EPC Projects as Lead Designer is desirable.  
• SW or Tools: Hands on Experience in PDMS, E3D,  MDS, Chalmlite / Dialux, AutoCAD and Navis Works.
