Safety Case Coordinator (Location Bangalore)

 

Company Information

The Company’s main activities are the design, supply, installation and operation of Floating, Production, Storage and Offloading (FPSO) vessels.  These are either owned and operated by SBM Offshore and leased to its clients, or supplied on a turkey sale bases.  Other products and services include: FLNGs, turret mooring systems, brownfield, offshore loading terminals, as well as solutions for renewable energy, Offshore Wind, Wave Energy and New Technologies. With an operating fleet of 14 in operation worldwide at year end and almost 300 years of cumulative FPSO operational experience within the industry, the Company is a market leader in providing leased production floating systems.

The department

The Global Quality Regulatory and HSSE Team are responsible for the life-cycle development of products, as well as, brown fields interventions and Safety Case updates.  The Technical HSE Group within the Global Quality, Regulatory and HSSE Team are responsible for coordinating activities around the SBM Offshore Hazards and effects Management Process and delivery of Safety Cases

The role

The Role of Safety Case Coordinator (SCC) Brownfields is within the HSSE Team and will work across all sections of the brownfields project execution.  The SCC is responsible for ensuring that SBM Offshore’s Hazards and Effects Management Process is followed during execution.  It is an expectation to be able to provide engineering, supply chain, construction and other departments with guidance on current best practice risk management and Mechanical Integrity Assurance.  Core competencies include:

  • Lifecycle hazard management
  • Brownfields interventions on operating units
  • SECE and Performance Standards development
  • SECE suitability assessment and life extension
  • Safety Critical Task identification and competency mapping
  • Safety Case revision, including support the SLP team in defining Formal Safety Assessments required as part of a life extension project.
  • Offshore Project Execution from early phase design to late phase assurance
  • General management and interpersonal skills – able to manage people outside of their organizational team

 

Requirements

 

SBM Offshore is looking for applicants with a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in relevant field of Engineering or Science, with experience working for an operator, consultancy or verifier on brownfields projects.  A background in Mechanical Integrity management is highly desired.
