ROLE PURPOSE

As Supply Chain Support Manager, you are responsible for developing and maintaining the team skill

sets. You are responsible for allocating resources to ensure that supply chain activities are completed

as per schedule, quality and safety requirements.

You take ownership of the overall quality and performance of the work delivered by your team and you

are responsible for the overall department budget.

You also take ownership of all activities within your perimeter in accordance with company procedures

and governance.

In your role, you must provide guidance to the team in order that supply chain activities are properly

executed and risk is mitigated to prevent potential impact on the overall project/operations.

Below contribution requires expertise for your designated scope (procurement, package management,

expediting, inspection, logistics, material control).

 

ROLE CONTRIBUTION

1. In order that proper resources are allocated to all project / operations, you are to :

 

1.1. Develop a staffing plan by coordinating with the project / operations management to define the manpower requirements and provide qualified resources

1.2. Manage staffing plan to suit current and future workload needs and proactively resolve any resource gaps through effective networking with other departments, other location’s or third party sub-contractors whenever necessary;

1.3. Ensure proper lines of communication for resources alignment and project /operations priorities

 

 

2. In order to ensure staff is adequately skilled to achieve deliverables, you are to :

 

2.1. Understand and manage project / operations requirements of staff capabilities

2.2. Ensure team is provided with career opportunities and proper training in relevant areas aligned with current and future business needs

2.3. Provide coaching and mentoring to staff, implement development action plans and ensure a highly motivated working environment

2.4. Proactively address team performance issues and partner with HR as necessary to reach the expected level of performance

2.5. Promote the development of internal tools

 

 

3. In order to ensure quality of all supply chain deliverables in line with Company standards, international and local regulations, you are to:

 

3.1. Explain and enforce all Working Procedures related to procurement, package management, expediting, inspection, logistics, material control

3.2. Cascade and explain all deliverables provided by Strategic Sourcing and get them implemented at best (Group Framework Agreements (GFA), Approved Vendor Lists, benchmark, market analysis, vendor action plans …)

3.3. Apply all relevant Company Ethics and Compliance procedures (e.g. anticorruption, bribery)

3.4. Apply all relevant Quality & Regulatory Management procedures

3.5. Supervise the procedures and ensure compliance to international and local regulations

3.6. For project activities, be involved at the early phase to ensure realistic KPIs are set (quality, quantity schedule, costs)

 

 

Job requirements:

  • Academic: Bachelor degree.
  • Exp: >15 years’ experience with 
    • A substantial part related to Inspection/QC activities in O&G and Offshore Projects.
    • A first experience in team & people management
    • International experience and/or exposure
  • SW or tools: No specific requirements except of a good knowledge of the usual office software tools
