At the SBM Laboratory located in Carros (France – 06), SBM Offshore invests in testing its products and build prototypes, including the ones that enable the transition towards renewable energy and support its emissionZEROTM program.
To support our projects and testing requirement, we are looking for a long period trainee, with following part time its school program and experimenting its knowledge with us at the Laboratory to test new materials or products.
The training period could be from 1 to 3 years. This could include a rotational plan on different mission around Material and Mechanical Engineering and Laboratory Quality Management.
Objectives
- Perform material characterization and testing to support new Material evaluation.
- Perform and support Mechanical Testing and Test benches design
- Implement Laboratory Equipment file and data base with associated procedures and documentation to support preventive maintenance plan
Key tasks & responsibilities
- Perform Testing on Laboratory equipment, including pull test, fatigue and friction.
- Develop Laboratory Preventive Maintenance Plan and Maintenance Database
- Document internal processes to perform testing.
Education & Experience
- Last year of bachelor’s degree, first or 2nd year of Master, Engineering School (France) in Mechanical or Material with part time program, or equivalent
- English language, written and spoken
- Basic knowledge in Quality and HSSE management
- Interest in R&D, testing and process engineering
- Proactive and self-starting attitude, capable to act within a dynamic and international organization
