RESPONSIBILITIES

  • The Preservation Superintendent is responsible for the Preservation Scope of work, in compliance with the project HSSE, Quality, and schedule requirements as defined in the construction execution plan (CEP).
  • The Preservation Superintendent manages a team of Supervisors and interfaces with the Quality Verification Inspectors for the discipline.

 

 

MAIN TASKS

In order to create a safe work environment on Site, you are to:

  • Provide the leadership to ensure that the HSSE plan is understood and implemented by the Supervisors assigned to his/her discipline

 

In order to meet Group/Project Quality requirements, you are to:

  • Provide the leadership to ensure that the Quality Plan is understood and implemented by the Supervisors/Inspectors assigned to his/her discipline
  • Lead the site Quality verification team for his/her own scope

 

In order to achieve Mechanical Completion (A-Scope), you are to:

  • Ensure Supervisors and Inspectors assigned to his/her discipline are familiar with SBM Construction and Completions processes and that roles and responsibilities are understood
  • Monitor yard productivity and manpower assignment to ensure Construction schedule milestones are met
  • Ensure yard Construction procedures related to his/her discipline are reviewed and approved
  • Ensure the Inspections and Test Plan (ITP) is followed and attended by his/her team
  • Ensure all Quality Verification Documentation is duly reviewed and approved
  • Ensure that Manufacturing Data Records (MDR) are maintained, approved, and compiled on a systematic basis
  • Maintain up-to-date as-built dossier
  • Ensure Discipline Inspection Test Reports (ITR-A’s and associated Punch list) are compiled and issued by the yard and approved and logged into the Completion database
  • Interface with Supply Chain to ensure the Required On-Site (ROS) for materials are respected
  • Assist Material Controller in performing Receiving Inspections of materials and equipment related to his/her discipline

 

 

JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Engineering discipline degree or diploma from University or Engineering College.
  • 15 years experience, preferably some gained under project conditions.
  • Extensive experience in leading onshore/offshore commissioning activities on complex FPSO/topsides process systems
  • Strong experience in start-up activities, in particular gas treatment and compression/injection systems, seawater treatment and injection, process systems such as cooling medium, heating medium, glycol system, fire water, gas turbine generators, diesel generators, cranes, vessels, tanks, sumps, agitators, lifeboats
  • Good knowledge of engineering and systems technology in a project environment.
  • Knowledge of Process Control Narrative (PCS). Experience in commissioning Permit-to-work (PTW) preparation & Notice of Energization (NOE).
  • Ability to write technical documents and operational test procedures (OTPs).
  • Knowledgeable in sub-system boundary limits & marked-up engineering drawings.
  • Experience in attending Factory Acceptance Tests (FATs) for large rotating equipment and ICSS hardware.
  • Skills & ability to create Preservation database as per project all tags, to assign all tags with relative ITRs and recurrences of checks.
  • Skills & ability to create Preservation ITRs to assign required checks.
  • Skills & ability to define, calculate & procure all preservation products and necessary consumables to cover all preservation requirements during all phases of the project.
  • Experience in reviewing and develop Preservation procedures from vendors to ensure providing initial preservation requirements, during transportation and all phases.
  • Skills and ability to executing all preservation activities by the Preservation team, and conduct preservation minutes of meetings.
  • Experience in receiving inspection of all equipment and items and properly allocate during storage at construction site & in warehouse.
  • Skills & ability tracking all activities in Preservation dossier on daily basis.
  • Skills & ability to follow all the above in computerizing software within completion management systems
