Reports To

  • Production Superintendent

Background

  • Can monitor/operate controls panels for subsea equipment from Central Control Room
  • Can perform well testing and troubleshooting of deepwater subsea equipment
  • Understands multiplex subsea hydraulics controls and equipment modules
  • Understands light/heavy interventions and workovers
  • Supports offshore installation and intervention activities (Vessel/Rig/ROV)
  • Responds effectively to emergencies.
  • Ensures that system inhibits and overrides are controlled as per Management System guidelines.
  • Ensures that personnel under their supervision are fully competent and aware of their responsibilities.

Authority

  • Is authorized to control and adjust the automated process safely to maximize production efficiency, and to coordinate permits and related isolations for maintenance.

  • Subcontractors, Vendors, Visitors.

Accountable For: Responsibilities & Standards

Process

  • Start up, operate and shut down Subsea wells, Umbilical, Risers and Flowlines from CCR and other remote locations.
  • Monitor, analyze and control the performance of wells and production equipment to maximize recovery, within client reservoir management requirements.
  • Well testing, chemical treatment and management of hydrates as required by company and client.
  • Seamless integration & interface with TS CRO to ensure FPSO maintains continued safe production.
  • Ensure accurate production reporting is submitted daily or as required by company and client.
  • Support ROV/Rig/Vessel teams during installation and intervention work scopes.
  • Updating and writing of operating procedures/guides associated with SURF activity.
  • Operation and maintenance of hydraulic and control systems, related to subsurface production equipment, as required by company and client.

 

Marine / Safety

  • 1 Implementing and enforcing Management System policies and procedures, in particular Isolation Standards, and PTW.
  • Carry out all operations in a safe and environmentally sound manner.
  • Report all discharges, leaks, spills, injuries and incidents, immediately.
  • Ensure personnel understand and comply with current environmental regulations.
  • Carry out Emergency Response role.

 

Maintenance

  • Assist maintenance operations by applying / removing isolations as required.
  • Supervise operation of the PTW system.
  • Advise maintenance personnel on hazards of plant and equipment.
  • Maintain clear and precise communications during maintenance operations.

 

Manage & Supervise Effectively 

  • Coordinate activities and resources across teams or shifts.
  • Contribute to training and assessment of personnel.
  • Control activities and development of subordinate personnel.
  • Record and report on personnel development / appraisals and competence assessments as required.
  • Efficiency improvement and pursue company goals.
  • Create and maintain effective working relationships.

 

Emergency Response

  • Carry Out Emergency Response role (See Station Bill).
  • Demonstrate competence in Emergency Response drills and exercises.

Pre-hire Qualifications and Experience

  • Minimum of 4 years’ experience of offshore production operations, working directly with subsurface production equipment (wet trees)
  • Technical training to HNC level, or equivalent qualification (NVQ/SVQ Hydrocarbon Processing)
  • Extensive knowledge of offshore FPSO operations, including Production, Maintenance, Engineering and Safety
  • Proficiency in Flow Assurance & High Pressure/High Temperature wells
  • Knowledge of functional safety related to IEC 61508/61511
  • Offshore Personal Survival, Medical certificates.
  • Proficiency in English at a minimum of A2 level according to the CEFR international standard.
  • Medically fit according to the Company GEMS ‘Health Requirements to Work Offshore’ Instruction.
