ROLE PURPOSE

As a Digital Product Owner, you have a key role in the development and delivery of digital products, bridging the gap between business objectives and technical execution. You are responsible for defining the product vision, creating and managing the product backlog, and ensuring that the development team delivers high-value features that meet user needs and business goals.

By collaborating closely with stakeholders, including product managers, marketing teams, and customer success teams, you ensure that the product remains competitive and innovative. You will also play a crucial role in user acceptance testing, change management, and continuous improvement, making sure that the product evolves in alignment with market trends and customer feedback.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

Product Development

  • Collaborate with the Product Manager and Product Marketing Manager to ensure product competitiveness and innovation.
  • Define and prioritize the Release N+1 and N+2 backlog scope:
    • Coordinate the initial assessment of delivery capacity and business value to provide preliminary backlog prioritizations.
  • Lead the preparation of functional and technical specifications in accordance with RACI governance.
  • Prepare & facilitate the Product Increment quarterly meeting at the start of each release development phase.
  • As a PACE Product PO, ensure an integrated team approach with transversal Product Owners (Predict & Data). 

Customer Success

  • Establish Customer Success Management (CSM) criteria ahead of each release.
  • Deliver product release demos to sponsors, users, and clients.
  • Prepare user training materials and conduct user training sessions.
  • Lead the ADKAR Change Management process for each release, supported by the Change Manager.
  • Collaborate closely with the Service team and Customer Success Management (CSM) team to gather and prioritize user feedback for the product backlog.
  • Work with the CSM and Business Modeling team to define KPIs and value creation targets.

 Delivery Streams

  • Define the scope of Release Framing activities.
  • Validate the framed scopes (including UX/UI) executed by the PPO and supporting team.
  • Serve as the primary interface with domain SMEs and coordinate SME involvement.
  • Validate DevOps user stories written by the PPO in DevOps.
  • Contribute to sprint planning and backlog refinement, ensuring business value is appropriately considered.
  • Engage in ad hoc testing of new features as requested by the PPO.
  • Lead user acceptance testing (UAT): define the testing team, oversee testing execution, and be responsible for sign-off on release deployment in the production environment.

Reporting

  • Review product updates from the Product Delivery Manager.
  • Report to the Product Manager.

 

JOB REQUIREMENTS

• Master of Science degree

• Minimum 15 years of experience and possibly 5 years in product management, preferably in the oil & gas industry.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and stakeholder management.
• Technical Skills: product lifecycle management, data analysis, project management, competitive analysis, digital technology trends, proficiency in product management tools (e.g., Jira).

• Fluent in English.
