Through our local affiliate, Guyana Deep Water Operations Inc. (GDO), we are the Operator of the LIZA Destiny, LIZA Unity and Prosperity Floating Production Storage and Offloading Vessels (FPSOs).

We are looking for an experienced Communication Specialist to work onshore at Georgetown shore base.

 

This position reports to: The Culture and Change Manager.

 

Role Purpose

 

People are at the heart of any change & people engagement activities as success depends on people attitude and actions. With an understanding of SBM people, meaningful professional experience, and a keen interest in culture & change topics, you will contribute to the Group’s communications & change efforts.  

 

RESPONSABILITIES: 

 

From a change perspective:

 

You play a key role in ensuring a major transformation program succeed by

  • focusing on the people side of change: you pay careful attention to changes in business processes, systems and technology, job roles and organization structures and anticipate impacts on the identified stakeholder groups; assess change impact and ADKAR progress to have proper plans prepared and executed.
  • knowing your audiences & understanding how to reach them: articulate the way in which changes will affect the users on a day-to-day basis, and devise engagement strategies to meet people where they are, maximizing adoption and minimizing resistance; identify, analyze, and prepare risk mitigation tactics.
  • guiding, coaching, and supporting project teams on change management.
  • helping build a positive response to new ways of working

 

From a communications perspective:

 

In coordination with the Group communications team

  • You plan, organize and promote participation for employee corporate events celebrated globally within SBM. You partner with strategic Communications partners for larger events.
  • You act as internal communication relay for Guyana: manage publication schedule, create stories to tell about events in Guyana on the intranet, ensure proper office branding in line with the corporate guidelines.
  • You partner with Communication Agencies for specific topics.

 

OTHER JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

 

REQUIREMENTS: 

 

  • Minimum 5-7 years professional experience in people related matters (HR, communication, change management or management position).
  • Change management certification or training is a plus.
  • Project management or portfolio management experience is a plus.
  • Event Management or employee event coordination experience is a plus.
