Control of Work Supervisor

 

As Control of Work Supervisor you will coordinate and support the proper implementation of all Control of Work tools at the worksite (ePtW. Risk Assessment, Barrier Management, Toolbox Talks, Isolations Philosophy, MoC)

 

Role Contribution:

  1. In order to achieve a Safe and Efficient daily fulfillment of all work performed on board, YOU ARE TO:
  • Collaborate fully with other Discipline Heads & Supervisors on board
  • Coordinate the correct implementation of the SBM ePtW system, Isolation Standards, Task Risk Assessment program, Toolbox Talk standards, Process Safety Barrier Management plan, Management of Change processes.
  • Perform Verification and Assurance of implementation of Control of Work tools and Process Safety Fundamentals

The measure of effectiveness will be:

  • Meet the HSSE targets for the Unit
  • An improvement in leading and lagging HSSE and Process Safety indicators
  • Reduction in high priority Control of Work/Management System Audit Findings
  • Formal Client feedback

 

  1. In order to get all Maintenance and Operational activities executed Safe and Efficient under the Permit To Work (PTW) system, YOU ARE TO:
  • Act as Permit To Work (PTW) Coordinator to ensure no conflicting activities, and work is safely executed and Work Permit issuance and validity is monitored in detail;
  • Safely prepare and monitor/verify isolations required on all equipment for intrusive maintenance

The measure of effectiveness will be:

  • Number of conflicting activities and unsafe situations reported

 

In order to effectively fulfil this Role, YOU ARE TO :

  • Ensure that  you have a detailed understanding and working knowledge of all Control of Work elements (as stated in Section 1.1 above)
  • Mentor  and manage individual and team performance to increase standards of performance and compliance in all elements listed in 1.1 above
  • Provide  support and ensure individual and team development, training and competence are  fulfilled

  1. In order to gain Knowledge, Understanding and Compliance with The Global Enterprise Management System (GEMS), YOU ARE TO :
  • Fulfill Production Supervisor accountabilities /responsibilities in GEMs in case you are required to deputise or cover for that role on the Unit

 

The measure of effectiveness will be:

  • Audit outcomes

             

Education & Experience:

  • Ordinary National Certificate (ONC) / Ordinary National Diploma (OND) in appropriate engineering subjects and / or N / SVQ Hydro carbon Processing Operations Level 3 or local equivalent.
  • Five years’ experience Offshore as Production Supervisor or Safety Officer or five years Onshore as Production Supervisor or Five years’ experience as PTWC / CoW supervisor
  • Five years’ experience and knowledge of hydrocarbon processing systems and utility systems
  • Good knowledge of Integrated Control & Safety System (ICSS)
  • Supervisory experience of Permit to Work, Task Risk Assessment, Process Safety Management, Mechanical / Electrical Isolation Standards and Risk Assessment
  • FPSO experience
  • Strong IT literacy
  • Medically fit to offshore International Standard such as ENG1 or equivalent
