SBM Offshore is a world leader in floating production solutions.  Our main activities are the design, supply, installation, operation and the life extension of Floating Production, Storage and Offloading (FPSO) vessels.  We employ over 7,073 people spread over eight locations, nine operational shore bases and the offshore fleet of vessels worldwide.

 

Through our local affiliate, Guyana Deep Water Operations Inc. (GDO), we are the Operator of the LIZA Destiny, LIZA Unity and Prosperity Floating Production Storage and Offloading Vessels (FPSOs).

 

We are looking for an experienced Document Controller to work onshore at our Georgetown shore base.

 

Role Purpose:

 

As Q&R Doc controller, is responsible for the coordination of records and information from creation/receipt through processing, distribution, organization, storage and retrieval, and ultimate disposition. Will ensure documentation is systematically managed and aligned with the Company’s (Document) Management Systems and processes

 

Main Tasks:

  • Ensure the application of Quality and Regulatory Policy for Operations
  • Documentation Control / Information Management
  • Administration of Data Bases where is storage the Documentation
  • Update documentation
  • Administration of Management Systems
  • Improve and maintain data base systems
  • Data processing, analysis and dashboarding
  • Training/Coaching people how to find the relevant documentation
  • Maintenance of the regional contents of the ‘GEMS View for Operations’ portal and repository
  • Set-up and maintenance the operating manuals for the Guyana Fleet, including Management of Change
  • Co-ordinate feedback and reports from the offshore units.
  • Collection, consolidation, and treatment of data, notably for reporting purposes
  • Follow the operations procedures and training people onshore and offshore.
  • Update registers (like MDR, UDIR register, technical documental, etc.)

Education/Experience: 

  • University degree in Computer Science, Information Management or equivalent
  • Minimum 3 years’ professional experience as Documentation Controller or Quality Management System, preferably within an operational environment
  • Experience with office software packages e.g. MS Office 365, SharePoint, Teams, Power BI, Microsoft Access (or equivalent).
  • Experience in Document Management Systems
  • Experience to analyze data base and perform reports
  • Fluent in (spoken and written) English.
  • Available to travel to operating locations on an occasional basis
  • Effective communication skills
