We are seeking recently Graduated Engineers to join our Graduate Engineer Program. In this program you will rotate between various departments, projects, and locations to become fully indoctrinated in SBM’s business. With this well-developed base of knowledge, you will be well on your way towards your chosen career path as an Engineer within the SBM Group.
DETAILS OF THE PROGRAMME
The Graduate Engineer Program is meant to provide recently graduated Engineers with the foundational knowledge they need to begin and accelerate their careers in the oil and gas industry.
To achieve this, successful candidates will be rotated amongst various departments to learn the key processes and procedures that enable SBM Offshore to efficiently support our projects and operations.
Incumbents will be assigned to one or more of our SBM Offshore International Locations to gain exposure to SBM’s different lines of business and to achieve a broad view of how Execution Centers work collaboratively on a global level to support our clients.
During the 18-month in-dept programme, candidates will be assessed to fully determine the area (s) suitable for their skills, knowledge, background, aptitude, exposure and passion.
Final placement (Permanent positions) will be in the Guyana Operations, supporting the designated department / vessel.
ROLE PURPOSE:
The Reliability & Optimization Engineer is responsible for the provision of detailed reliability and life cycle cost analysis for units and projects as directed by the Reliability Manager.
CORE FUNCTIONS:
- Build and Maintain a Reliability Databank based on Fleet and Industry Reliability data,
- Calculate reliability figures
- Carry out RAM studies, Reliability centered Maintenance (RCM) studies, Failure mode effects and criticality (FMECA) studies together with the Maintenance department as required throughout the unit life cycle
- Use above studies to advise Maintenance and Supply Chain on stock level control of spares
- Use above studies to advise Asset Integrity discipline leads on changes to the Maintenance Strategy
- Provide detailed reliability and life cycle cost analysis for units and projects
- Ensure RAM models are kept up to date during unit life cycle to achieve optimum balance between cost and availability/reliability.
- Support the development of the Reliability Databank based on Fleet and Industry reliability data
- Control quality of the data provided by the assigned FPSO(s) to ensure failure history are consolidated in the reliability databank.
- Support Asset Integrity to collect and analyse data to support efficient asset management.
- Perform RCA of incidents / downtime events on assigned FPSO(s), produce corrective actions to prevent reoccurrences and follow up on implementation
- Provide input into / generate Management of Change to improve safety, uptime and reliability of assigned FPSO(s)
OTHER JOB FUNCTIONS
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS / EXPERIENCE
- Engineering degree, preference in Mechanical and Electrical Engineer Degree.
- No experience required, however desirable knowledge in a technical role with similar responsibilities is a plus.
- Knowledge of using RAM simulation software (DNVGL MAROS is preferred)
- Previous knowledge of conducting RAM, RCM, FMECA studies.
- Knowledge of Subcontractor Management.
