HSSE Specialist - Data Management and Reporting
SBM Offshore is a world leader in floating production solutions. Our main activities are the design, supply, installation, operation and the life extension of Floating Production, Storage and Offloading (FPSO) vessels. We employ over 7,073 people spread across eight locations, nine operational shore bases and the offshore fleet of vessels worldwide.
Through our local affiliate, Guyana Deep Water Operations Inc. (GDO), we are the Operator of the LIZA Destiny, LIZA Unity and Prosperity Floating Production Storage and Offloading Vessels (FPSOs).
We are looking for a HSSE Specialist - Data Management and Reporting to work onshore at our Georgetown shore base.
ROLE PURPOSE:
To support the effective management and continuous improvement of HSSE performance by leading data-driven processes, ensuring accurate reporting, and tracking key initiatives such as Human Factors programs, Target Excellence campaigns, budget control, and annual planning. The role ensures alignment with HSSE strategies through timely insights, performance monitoring, and robust action tracking.
CORE FUNCTIONS:
- Support the implementation and monitoring of the Human Factors program by managing data related to behaviors, incidents, and compliance, and by ensuring accurate reporting to support continuous improvement.
- Coordinate and track HSSE-related Target Excellence initiatives and awareness campaigns, collecting participation metrics, analyzing outcomes, and preparing regular performance summaries.
- Assist in the planning and control of HSSE budgets by monitoring expenditures, flagging deviations, and supporting the preparation of financial and resource utilization reports.
- Contribute to the development and tracking of the annual HSSE plan by aligning activities with strategic objectives, maintaining planning tools, and supporting timeline adherence.
- Develop, update, and maintain dashboards and reports for HSSE KPIs, ensuring timely, accurate, and actionable insights are available to stakeholders at all levels.
- Manage the HSSE Action Tracker to ensure effective closure of actions, follow up on outstanding items, and assess the effectiveness of implemented actions through data review.
- Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders to align data collection, reporting practices, and performance monitoring with HSSE standards and regulatory requirements.

EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s degree in Safety, Environmental Engineering, Data Analytics, Occupational Health & Safety, Public Health, or related field.
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
- Proficient in data Management tools (e.g. Excel, Power BI, Tableau).
- Strong understanding of HSSE regulations, frameworks and industry standards.
- Experience in budget tracking, KPI development and action tracking system is preferred.
- Strong data analysis and report writing skills for technical documentation and submissions.
- Experience working in hazardous environments, including confined space, offshore platforms, refineries, and drilling rigs.
