ICSS & Cybersecurity Engineer

Job Purpose:

As an Integrated Control and Safety Systems (ICSS) Engineer, you provide support to provide support to the offshore units in matters related to controls of the FPSO process and equipment.

You provide direction on computer control systems to FSO / FPSO’s and Shore Bases, in particular Integrated Control and Safety Systems (ICSS) including Fire & Gas, Cause & Effect and Package Systems, as and when required. You ensure the completion of Heathbook received from ICSS specialist onboard.

 

Responsibilities:

  • You oversee Management of Change processes related to ICSS, Safety Instrumented Functions, and cybersecurity, ensuring proper execution and alignment with company standards.
  • You implement robust controls to maintain and protect ICSS software from unauthorized modifications and cyber threats.
  • You assess and develop training for offshore control system personnel, ensuring competence in line with company requirements and taking corrective actions where necessary.
  • You collaborate with Fleet HR to evaluate and enhance the competency of ICSS specialists offshore.
  • You participate in reliability studies and establish maintenance philosophies tailored to ICSS systems.
  • You support digital project developments, contributing technical expertise to ongoing initiatives.
  • You develop, maintain, and manage onshore data application systems like OSIsoft PI, Matrikon Alarm Manager, and Control Performance Monitor.
  • You lead the implementation and maintenance of cybersecurity systems, safeguarding operational technology.
  • You provide technical input for Root Cause Analyses of ICSS failures and recommend effective remedial actions.
  • You prepare and support offshore activities by defining scopes of work, aligning specifications, managing procurement, and ensuring vendor mobilization.
  • You align intervention plans with offshore teams and monitor the execution of activities, escalating issues when necessary.
  • You ensure the implementation of Service Bulletins, GTS, Maintenance, and Safety Alerts as per company policies.
  • You report anomalies in the CMMS and contribute to maintaining accurate inventory and communication maps for ICSS and OPC systems.
  • You provide input for budgeting ICSS-related activities and travel to offshore units and shore base as required.

 

Education

  • Master or Bachelor’s degree in Control System and Instrumentation Technology or equivalent.

Experience

  • Minimum of 10 years of experience as an ICSS or Control System Engineer, with at least 10 years in the Oil and Gas industry.
  • Expertise in PCS7.
  • Proficient in Management of Change processes for ICSS modifications and familiar with Risk Assessments (RA).
