SBM Offshore is a world leader in floating production solutions. Our main activities are the design, supply, installation, operation and the life extension of Floating Production, Storage and Offloading (FPSO) vessels. Through our local affiliate, Guyana Deep Water Operations Inc. (GDO), we are the Operator of the LIZA Destiny, LIZA Unity and Prosperity Floating Production Storage and Offloading Vessels (FPSOs).
We are looking for an IT Asset Administrator to work onshore at our Georgetown shore base.
ROLE PURPOSE:
The IT Asset Administrator is responsible for applying the discipline knowledge in the
management of SBM Offshore’s IT Software and Hardware assets. You are to ensure that
Standards are enforced, assets are properly tracked in the ITSM CMDB, compliance
requirements are met and to perform asset procurements.
To support, govern and contribute to a fully integrated and aligned IT Strategy across the SBM organization, you are to:
CORE FUNCTIONS:
- Work closely with the Group IT Management Office in IT asset administration.
- Provide recommendations and advise to IT community and IT Operations Manager on IT assets related matters, which includes stock management and refresh of IT assets.
- Provide advice to the IT Operations Manager on all IT purchasing matters which include vendor selection and perform cost comparison.
- Perform procurement related processes, communicate and work closely with Group Procurement to ensure procurement processes are adhered to and PO is generated in a timely manner.
- Ensuring high level of compliance and integrity in the internal and external stakeholder and vendor management and provide solid advice and risk management to achieve the best results and gain trust.
- Maintain a high-quality level of communication with the IT team.
- Perform physical and virtual asset reviews to ensure accuracy of assets and information in the CMDB.
- Ensure all mandatory information is entered and up to date in CMDB by performing periodic audit of all assets and the CMDB.
- Manage, track and document stock level of IT Assets and IT Consumables.
- Assets linked to critical Business Services and identified.
- Highlight asset discrepancies to the IT Service Desk Lead and IT Support Manager for
- Rectification.
- Participate in and contribute to internal IT Controls audit exercise.
- Keep the IT community informed on any new initiatives and decisions taken that might have an Impact on day-to-day business.
- Ensure a cross functional alignment to ensure collaboration across different stakeholders and business.
- Understand, plan and deliver assigned tasks with accuracy to meet stakeholders needs in a timely manner.
OTHER JOB FUNCTIONS
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar role.
- Experience with SERVICENOW CMDB
- Experience in IT controls framework
- Experience in vendor management and negotiations
- ITIL V3 certification will be added advantage
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Analytical, independent and able to manage complexity
- Very good command of word processing, spreadsheets and databases, (Microsoft Suite)
