Maintenance Manager, Guyana

As Maintenance Manager, you are responsible for ensuring the safety, integrity, and performance of assets across the regional fleet in alignment with corporate and regulatory standards. This role involves overseeing the implementation of maintenance plans, monitoring key performance indicators, managing the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS), and ensuring the effectiveness of safety hardware barriers. You also play a crucial role in reporting, regulatory compliance, and continuous improvement of maintenance processes.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure that safety barriers in the region are properly maintained and that risk assessments and mitigating actions are in place for any overdue Priority 1 (P1) work orders.

Monitor the status of Asset Integrity and Process Safety barriers to ensure they meet required standards.

  • Ensure the consistency of implementation and management of changes in the maintenance plan and CMMS across the regional fleet.

Establish specific maintenance objectives for each unit based on unit requirements and developments from the Head Office.

Monitor and benchmark work order management performance against the Global Enterprise Management System (GEMS).

  • Assess monthly Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and implement mitigating actions where necessary to ensure maintenance targets are met.

Regularly report on issues, backlog, and progress to the line manager, ensuring that lessons learned are integrated into the ongoing maintenance strategy.

Attend monthly maintenance management meetings to discuss performance, challenges, and improvements.

  • Provide support and solutions for regulatory, class, and non-conformity issues, ensuring that all operations meet the necessary compliance requirements.
  • Ensure consistent implementation of the maintenance strategy across the fleet in coordination with the Regional Center (RC).
  • Provide technical guidance and review budgetary figures associated with the FPSO maintenance program.

Ensure the maintenance schedule is executed within budget.

  • Execution of the schedule within budget.
  • Oversee communication between the Maintenance Superintendent and Maintenance Coordinator.
  • Ensure that Maintenance Coordinators support the elimination of backlog related to spares and services.
  • Validate the technical competency of proposed third-party vendors.
  • Provide suggestions to HQ for improvements with potential worldwide impact.
  • Support the Monthly Area Report (MAR) review exercise from Operations.
  • Ensure Change Requests (CRs) are properly documented and facilitate the process as needed.
  • Link Maintenance Coordinators with technical disciplines to implement lessons learned from root cause analyses.
  • Ensure the team has clear objectives aligned with business goals.
  • Monitor and manage individual and team performance.
  • Support and ensure the development of individuals and the team.
  • Regular feedback to the team.
  • Formal performance measurement through appraisals.

 

Candidate Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related engineering field.
  • 10 years of experience in maintenance management, preferably in the oil and gas industry or a related sector.
  • Strong understanding of safety and integrity management, maintenance planning, and CMMS.
  • Experience in regulatory compliance and issue resolution within a technical environment.
