Onshore Maintenance Engineer, Guyana
Role Purpose:
As Onshore Maintenance Engineer you are responsible for managing and executing the onshore repair strategy, ensuring alignment with regulatory and safety standards. This role involves coordinating with the offshore maintenance team, planning and mobilizing resources, and overseeing the procurement and repair processes. You are also accountable for tracking maintenance performance through key performance indicators (KPIs) and providing regular updates to leadership and stakeholders.
Role Responsibilities
- You manage the maintenance backlog for onshore maintenance within your specific discipline.
- You plan and mobilize resources for onshore repairs, collaborating with the offshore maintenance team.
- You ensure all maintenance activities meet regulatory and safety standards.
- You align with the offshore maintenance department to develop and execute maintenance strategies.
- You keep the leadership and team informed of ongoing activities and their status through regular updates.
- You provide visibility into the onshore maintenance process with weekly reports and KPIs.
- You define the technical scope for maintenance activities and evaluate service proposals.
- You prepare descriptive memorandums for onshore repair contracts.
- You follow up on the procurement process related to repairs, including raising Purchase Requisitions (PR) for spares.
- You monitor and control the repair schedule, ensuring timely delivery.
Inspect equipment not repaired at the Asset Repair Management (ARM) facility. - You monitor critical repairs at vendor workshops and maintain alignment with vendors on priorities.
- You issue Certificates of Loss (CLM) for scrap cases as needed.
- You track and report onshore maintenance KPIs, including maintenance expenses.
- You close onshore repair work orders and attach final reports in the IFS system.
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering,
Industrial Engineering, Metallurgical/Materials Engineering or Automation Engineering.
Experience:
- Experience in maintenance practices (minimum 2 years, desired 5 years)
- Oil and gas experience (desired)
