Through our local affiliate, Guyana Deep Water Operations Inc. (GDO), we are the Operator of the LIZA Destiny & LIZA Unity Floating Production Storage and Offloading Vessels (FPSOs).

 

We are looking for an experienced Operations Integrity Technician to work in our office located in Georgetown.

Reports To

  • Offshore Installation Manager (OIM)

Background

  • The OIT will attend to the administration of company and national regulatory compliance especially pertaining to contractual issues. He also has delegated responsibility for planning of activities within all projects on the Unit and will ensure actions from such activities and projects are progressed and closed out on the Unit, integrating relevant information from Production, Cargo, Maintenance and Safety

Authority

  • The OIT is authorized to ensure that planning, contractual and management administration is carried out accurately and effectively with due liaison with Heads of Departments as required.

Accountable For: Responsibilities & Standards

  • 1) Manage Information for Action
  • 1 Monitor, administer, and report to the OIM on Contract Compliance, non-compliances and deviations. Maintain accurate records, and ensure data is effectively communicated.
  • 2 Prepare for the quarterly Operations Integrity Assessments (where relevant) and audits and administer/monitor/close out their actions. Maintain auditable records.
  • 3 Assist the HOD’s in the collection of data and preparation of Loss Reports and maintains on a continuous basis a separate control sheet to summarize Loss Report findings such that /root causes/trends/costs can be analyzed.
  • 4 Develop and maintain the onboard contract administration procedures for each subcontract and to brief all relevant O &M Contractor personnel on the application/importance of these procedures.
  • 6 Assist the Maintenance Superintendent in the preparation/follow-up/administration/execution of Offshore Queries (OQ), including engineering work and research as appropriate. Prepare and maintain plans for ongoing maintenance and repair projects.
  • 7 Collect data, and prepare reports based on Key Performance Indicators in use onboard the FPSO.
  • 8 Assist with the preparation of various weekly and monthly Management System reports.
  • 9 Act as designated Document Controller onboard the FPSO.
  • 10 Act as Secretary to the various onboard meetings, such as the Safety and Management System Committee meetings.
  • 2) Contribute to Planning Running and Closure of Projects
  • 1 Liaise with Unit Superintendents to collect data.
  • 2 Assess data and prepare appropriate plans as required and aiming at Unit business objectives.
  • 3 Assist OIM and HODs in evaluation of objectives and alternatives for deviations to objectives.
  • 4 Supervise local library and custody of all Vessel Statutory Certification Documentation.
  • 5 Monitor progress of all Certifying Authority visits and pending matters raised.
  • 6 Use and coordinate CMMS, IFS or AMOS application on board, as Trainer if necessary.
  • 7 Ensure efficient and accurate administration of CMMS, maintaining system integrity; other than Storekeeper entries.
  • 3) Establish Effective Working Relationships
  • 1 Establish and maintain effective working relationships with team, colleagues and visitors to the working environment.
  • 2 Establish and maintain effective communications with Company and Client Representatives.
  • 3 Carry out accurate and effective handovers.
  • 4) Emergency Response
  • 1 Carry Out Emergency Response role (See Station Bill).
  • 2 Demonstrate competence in Emergency Response drills and exercises.

Pre-hire Qualifications and Experience

  • Qualified to Degree or HNC level.
  • 2 years’ experience on hydrocarbon processing, with offshore operations experience desirable.
  • 2 years’ experience in an administrative organization, preferably in the offshore industry.
  • Experience with Management Systems, preferably ISM/Management System and/or ISO9001/ISO14001.
  • Knowledge of statistics for analysis and managerial information systems.
  • Experience in Contract Administration.
  • Excellent computer skills, in particular Management System-Excel, Management System-Word, and Management System-Project.
  • Proficiency in English at a minimum of A2 level according to the CEFR international standard.
  • Medically fit according to The Company GEMS Instruction Health Requirements to Work Offshore.
  • GMDSS or GOC Certificate for Radio Operator duties onboard the FPSO
