Operations Interface Engineer – Guyana

 

Job Purpose:

You will be the in-country SBM Operations focal point for Brownfield projects prospects and executions.

 

 

Job Description:

  • You coordinate and provide, in a timely manner, operations input into the design, construction and execution of Brownfield projects to achieve a fit-for-purpose, safe, operable, maintainable and economical product, compliant with all contractual and SBM requirements.
  • You coordinate and supervise as required the quality performance of Vendors mobilized in Guyana on Brownfield projects.
  • You coordinate Brownfield projects needs for in-country works (incl. in liaison with the Brownfield in-country Construction Manager), in accordance with Client and SBM requirements.
  • You build a constructive working relationship between Vendors, SBM offshore and onshore teams.
  • You participate actively to the development of Brownfield Project technical and operational Execution lessons learned and present to Project Teams as required.
  • You coordinate the Brownfield project execution ensuring all resources/materials required are in place timely and all departments are aligned on priorities.
  • You provide technically review on procurements and service contracts.

 

 

Candidate Requirements:

  • University degree, BSc or MSc in relevant engineering field (Process, Marine, Mechanical, etc)
  • Minimum 5-10 years’ experience in oil and gas industry, with good general knowledge of FPSO design, familiarity with engineering processes and design office phase, a sound knowledge of EPCI projects execution and completion activities in Topside construction yards and/or shipyards.
  • Preferable previous experience in operations of FPSOs or good understanding of FPSO operations, and familiarity with Regulatory requirements related to FPSOs.
  • Ability to work independently, quickly assess and prioritize situations.
  • Good influencing skills.
  • High level of safety awareness, proactive, good interpersonal communication and supervisory/leadership skills with strong commitment to a team culture
