Background
- The Production Supervisor will exhibit a high level of Supervisory, Leadership and Safety behaviors and will specifically ensure that all aspects of production activity are carried out effectively and efficiently through careful delegation and control of responsibilities.
Authority
- The Production Supervisor assumes responsibility for safety, and operational and maintenance aspects of production activities and is responsible for the competence of those under his immediate supervision.
Immediate Subordinates
- Production CCR, Operators, Lead Production Technicians, Production Technicians, visitors, vendor technicians, and sub-contractors.
Accountable For: Responsibilities & Standards
- 1) Management System
- 1 Promote safety awareness and application of company Management System, COPs and prime policies.
- 2 Ensure subordinate personnel are fully aware of their responsibilities under Management System
- 3 Ensure subordinate personnel apply all safety procedures correctly in the workplace
- 4 Promote training and competency assurance throughout the department in line with Company goals for the Unit.
- 5 Encourage and support all department personnel to achieve training and competency targets and plan for appropriate time allocation for this area of work.
- 6 Contribute effectively to incident investigation, review and reporting.
- 2) Personnel
- 1 Manage the workload and operation of the Production and Process and Utility systems at team level through subordinate staff.
- 2 Assess the competence of subordinate personnel using company competence assurance system and ensure continuous and timely progress of subordinate personnel.
- 3 Ensure probationary and annual appraisals are completed fairly and consistently in timely manner
- 4 Manage welfare and disciplinary issues at team level with appropriate reference to Superintendent, OIM and Fleet HR
- 3) Works
- 1 Efficient operation of unit systems having due regard for Health and safety
- 2 Ensure full compliance with PTW system, and Risk assessment and verification
- 3 Efficiency improvement and pursuance of company goals.
- 4) Contract
- 1 Liaise with relevant department heads to improve information sharing and efficiency of planning.
- 2 Maintain effective cost control and promote cost awareness in others
- 3 Report maintenance work required in timely fashion to maximize efficiency and uptime
- 4 Organize personnel and resources effectively
- 5) Emergency Response
- 1 Deputize for Production Superintendent during ER, managing Emergency Response with due regard for safety of personnel, vessel and environment.
- 2 Demonstrate through exercises and scenarios, knowledge and awareness of emergency response techniques
- 3 Demonstrate knowledge of potential impact of incidents and scenarios on vessel safety and security
- 4 Contribute effectively to preparation of useful exercises and to post exercise/ incident review and investigation.
Recruitment Only-Generic Functional Competencies
Pre-hire Qualifications and Experience
- Proven experience and/or qualified to N/SVQ Hydrocarbon Processing Operations Level 3 or local equivalent.
- 5 years offshore experience
- Minimum 1 year experience as Production Supervisor/Lead Technician
- Experience and knowledge of hydrocarbon processing systems and utilities.
- Good knowledge of ESD and DCS operation
- Supervisory experience of Permit to Work, Mechanical/Electrical Isolation Standards and Risk Assessment.
- Proficiency in English at a minimum of B1 level according to the CEFR international standard.
- Medically fit according to The Company GEMS Instruction Health Requirements to Work Offshore.
