Through our local affiliate, Guyana Deep Water Operations Inc. (GDO), we are the Operator of the LIZA Destiny, LIZA Unity and Prosperity Floating Production Storage and Offloading Vessels (FPSOs).

 

We are looking for an experienced Talent Specialist to work onshore at Georgetown shore base.

 

This position reports to: The Talent and Development Specialist.

 

Role Purpose

 

You are responsible for implementing, at local level, the Talent Management strategies that support company’s objectives and Employee’s engagement, to retain technical expertise, grow leadership excellence and accelerate business performance and sustainable growth.

You act as advisory to the HR community and Business for your local remit to ensure business continuity and meet company’s strategic goals.

 

CORE FUNCTIONS:

 

  1. Training Needs Analysis:

 

    • Conduct regular assessments to identify learning and development needs within the organization.
    • Collaborate with department heads and HR to understand specific skill gaps and performance improvement opportunities.
    • You implement the Talent and Learning related processes, policies, and systems, in line with company’s needs and expertise industry standards.

 

  1. Program Design and Development:

 

    • Design and develop comprehensive learning programs, including e-learning modules, workshops, and other training materials.
    • Utilize instructional design principles to create engaging and effective learning experiences.
    • You contribute to the definition and implementation of the learning plan, for your remit, in line with Business needs and priorities.

 

 

  1. Content Delivery:
    • Facilitate training sessions, workshops, and webinars for employees at various levels.
    • Leverage various delivery methods, such as classroom training, virtual learning, and on-the-job training, to meet the diverse needs of the workforce.
    • You monitor Talent related processes and systems, using data reporting, and driving continuous improvement and change to meet local need in line with Company goals.

 

  1. Learning Technology:

 

    • Stay abreast of learning technologies and tools to enhance the delivery and effectiveness of training programs.
    • Manage and maintain the learning management system (LMS) to ensure accessibility and user-friendly experience.

 

  1. Evaluation and Improvement:
    • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of learning programs through feedback, assessments, and key performance indicators.
    • Continuously improve training content and delivery based on feedback and changing business needs.
    • You advise and coach Local HRBPs to ensure the identification and nurturing of talents to meet current and future business need.

EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Education, Organizational Development, or a related field. Master’s degree is a plus.
  • Proven experience as a Learning and Development Specialist in the oil and gas industry or a similar field.
  • Strong understanding of instructional design principles and adult learning theories.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Proficiency in learning management systems and other learning technologies.
