Purpose
- The OT Cybersecurity Specialist Manager is responsible for the team maintaining security measures, assessments and incident response for Operational Technology (OT) environments. This role focuses on the coordination of the team protecting industrial control systems (ICS) and critical infrastructure from cyber threats, ensuring the secure operation of physical processes on a global level.
Responsibilities
- Risk Assessment and Mitigation: Coordinate and Conduct risk assessments and vulnerability analyses to identify and mitigate potential security threats in OT systems.
- Ensure quality and accurate information of security assets in the CMDB
- Enforce security policies, procedures, and best practices for OT environments.
- Be able and willing to travel offshore
- Incident Response: Oversee incident response activities for OT systems, including detection, containment, and recovery in coordination with other stakeholders from a global perspective.
- Collaboration: Collaborate with IT and OT security and compliance teams to integrate security considerations into operational procedures.
- Security Monitoring: Support the implementation and use of OT cybersecurity monitoring solutions.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards for security of OT environments.
- Continuous Improvement: Stay updated with the latest OT security threats, trends, and industry standards.
- Point of contact for Compliance Assessments for clients, regulators, and access management
- Ensure the availability and use of Vulnerability Management solutions from a global persepective.
- Alert on threats, disrupting adversaries and abnormal behaviour.
- Maintain knowledge of the latest OT Cyber security trends, threats, and best practices
- Enusure that lifecycle of all security systems is maintained.
- Monitoring for threats using OT Cybersecurity and assessment tools.
- Coordindate with vendors to ensure proper security protocols are followed and assessments are conducted.
- Monitor and assist any and all personnel to ensure that a cyber risk mindset is in place.
- Coordinate Cybersecurity drills with other OT Cybersecurity teams
- Review recurring security reports for continuous improvement
Education
- A bachelor's degree in cybersecurity, information technology, engineering, or a related field is typically required.
Experience
- "Minium of 5 years of experience with OT, ICS, or SCADA technology, cybersecurity, and risk management frameworks. Experience in network security, cryptography, and authentication systems is essential. Experience in ISO27001 and ISO27002 frameworks, NIS2 or NIST. Certifications: Relevant certifications such as Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Certified Information Security Manager (CISM), Global Industrial Cyber Security Professional (GICSP), ISA/IEC 62443 or other certifications specific to OT security are highly valued. Certified to travel offshore is preferred (BOSIET or CBSP) Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, excellent communication abilities, and proficiency in networking concepts and technologies, including TCP/IP, routers, switches, and network-connected devices"
