Engineering project Engineer – Marine or process engineering related field
The Engineering Project Engineer is responsible for ensuring the technical quality of vessel products throughout their development and execution phases. You will be integral to the vessel product development team and will collaborate closely with the Product Development team, Vessel Execution team, Operations, and technical authorities.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Quality Monitoring:
    • Oversee the effectiveness and quality of standardized vessel products during execution.
    • Communicate regularly with the Vessel Execution team, Operations, and technical authorities.
    • Utilize dedicated tools to efficiently process feedback and perform assurance of learnings implementation.
  2. Issue Assessment and Support:
    • Provide technical support in assessing and understanding potential issues before resolution.
    • Leverage a strong technical background in Marine Engineering and related vessel disciplines.
    • Maintain a holistic view of projects, considering technical, commercial, operational factors, and alignment with company strategy.
    • Filter feedback quickly and efficiently, demonstrating flexibility and an open mindset to think critically and innovatively.
    • Assist the vessel product team in decision-making and issuing product alerts for project implementation.
  3. Product Design Tracking:
    • Maintain clear visibility of product design evolution during execution.
    • Keep an up-to-date set of markups (P&IDs/PFDs and layouts) for each awarded hull, ensuring full traceability of design changes.
    • Assist in consolidating design packages for quotations by shipyards.
    • Identify opportunities for improvement for future hulls.
  4. Technical Assurance Coordination:
    • Regularly communicate with Technical Authorities to ensure technical assurance alignment.
    • Provide sufficient information to facilitate the technical assurance process.
    • Ensure alignment between the Vessel Execution team and Technical Authorities, and follow up on the implementation of comments within the design.

 

Job Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, preferably in Marine Systems.
  • Experience:
    • 5-10 years of experience in the offshore engineering industry.
    • Strong technical background in Marine Engineering and related vessel disciplines.
    • Extensive knowledge of Oil & Gas products.
    • Proven execution experience in roles such as Engineering Project Manager / Engineer (EPM/EPE) or Design Lead Engineer (DLE).
    • Experience in project management and technical assurance is a plus.
  • Technical Skills:
    • Strong Marine engineering or Process engineering background.
    • Proficient in conducting analysis and calculations pertinent to marine engineering and/or process design.
