Purpose

  • As Rotating Equipmeny Team Lead you are responsible for overseeing and managing the Rotating Equipment team at the Shorebase. Your role involve planning, coordinating, and following up on maintenance and repair activities to ensure the optimal performance of the rotating equipment packages. Your role is key to lead improvement initiatives as result of events as well as to lead the assurance activities pertinent to the Shorebase team.
  • You ensure compliance with safety standards, improve operational efficiency, and support the overall objectives of the company.

Responsibilities

  • You provide technical support and guidance to the Units for issues resolution as well as to Rotating Equipment team.
  • You coordinate and oversee the repair and servicing of rotating equipment packages.
  • You drive, coordinate and review the outcome of regular inspections to identify and rectify any issues or potential problems.
  • You support the maintenance team in defining and implementing the maintenance schedules for all Rotating equipment packages.
  • You contribute to and review reports on maintenance activities, equipment performance, and any incidents.
  • You support the task risk assessment process.
  • You review reports on maintenance activities, equipment performance, and any incidents.
  • You are responsible for the root cause analysis investigations managed in the Shorebase.
  • You are responsible for the assurance activities of Rotating Equipment discipline.
  • You train and mentor junior staff members, promoting skill development and knowledge sharing.
  • Assist in Supply Chain Vendor Qualification processes to ensure vendors meet technical requirements.
  • Provide support for long-term service agreements/contracts and manage technical aspects of contracts, ensuring they meet the operational needs and compliance standards.
  • Contribute to the management of Technical Contracts,
  • Contribute to continuous improvement efforts by proposing initiatives and aligning implementation plans with operational goals.

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
  • Additional certifications in mechanical systems (i.e. vibration analysis or other relevant disciplines).
  • For Brazil: CREA active (Conselho Regional de Engenharia e Arquitetura
  • (Architecture and Civil Engineering Regional Council)

Experience

  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in mechanical maintenance and repair, preferably within the Oil & Gas industry.
  • At least 3 years of experience in a supervisory or team lead role.
  • In-depth knowledge of rotating equipment, and maintenance practices.
  • Experience with failure analysis and root cause investigation techniques.
  • Strong understanding of safety regulations and industry standards.
  • Proven ability to lead and motivate a team.
  • Proficiency with SAP or other enterprise asset management systems.
  • Experience working in a Shorebase environment.
  • Experience in relevant projects in oil and gas industry acting as engineer or interface coordinator.
