ADMINISTRATION DEPARTMENT - COST CONTROL - Large Projects Cost Controller
This Position
- reports to : Cost Control Manager
- liaises with:
- PM/PCM/EPM/PPM/Planner/Contract Manager for day-to-day control of allocated projects.
- Projects Treasury coordinator in respect of Cash Planning and Finance costs
- Financial Accountants for proper recording and reporting of data.
- Internal & external Auditor for ad hoc requests.
- Sister companies & JV partners
- MAIN RESPONSIBILITY:
- Administer & Monitor all Project Administration/Cost Reporting/Financial aspects of SBM Capex, Lumpsum & rebillable projects.Create a cost-conscious atmosphere so that all persons working on a project are aware of how their activities impact the project cost including all applicable Contractual issues.
- MAIN MISSIONS:
- Analyse contract after handover and prepare financial Project Summary.
- Ensure that project taxation is properly handled in conjunction with Tax Counsel
- Prepare and issue monthly Project Financial Forecast
- Control all accounting flows that impacts the project, including intercompany transactions
- A thorough monthly tracking of the Percentage of Completion (PoC) including booking of Accruals (check consistency with the physical progress)
- Prepare the monthly Cash Planning Report, ensure the S-Curve is consistent with the PoC
- Prepare a Manpower Forecast Report in liaison with stakeholders
- Prepare specific monthly reports at client or partner request.
- Review and validate change orders for input in forecast
- Control budgets in supply chain software.
- Verify purchase requisitions (budgets, amounts and codes) before approval by Project Manager.
- Issue NBVs and PBVs as necessary, in close cooperation with Project Control Manager.
- Control suppliers' payments with e-SR software.
- Prepare client invoices according to contractual terms with adequate back-up and book accounting records.
- Prepare & update a Client Register.
- Control client payments allocations in accounting system.
- Follow up client invoices date of receipt, payments from clients and Issue reminders when necessary.
- Prepare project finalization. Provisions to be followed until project closing in accounting.
- Prepare audit files for the semester review.
- Prepare a Project Finalized Report.
E-JOB REQUIREMENTS
Education: Business School or financial / accounting related degree,
Experience: Over 5 years in costs control (Senior) in an international environment.

- Analytical skills – analyze financial data and interpret results effectively
- Data Analysis tools such Power BI (as a nice to have)
- Excel skills – proficient in advanced functions
