ICE-T SYSTEM TEAM LEAD 

 

OPERABILITY: INSTRUMENT, CONTROLS, ELECTRICAL & TELECOMS (ICET) SYSTEM TEAM LEAD

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

As an EC&I Lead, you are responsible for providing technical expertise across electrical systems, instrumentation, and ICSS (Integrated Control and Safety Systems) and Ex to ensure operational reliability, safety compliance, and continuous improvement across the fleet.

 

This role involves managing NR-10 compliance, functional safety, cybersecurity, and equipment performance while providing strategic guidance in audits, risk assessments, and regulatory requirements. The Lead develops action plans, offers technical recommendations, and supports Root Cause Analysis (RCA) for system failures, ensuring alignment with company standards, best practices, and international regulations.

 

Additionally, the Lead fosters innovation by promoting process improvements, leading change management initiatives, and ensuring the successful execution of preventive maintenance and technical evaluations.

 

You lead and manage the ICET team, providing direction, support, and technical guidance to ensure the optimal performance of instrumentation, control, electrical, and telecommunications systems.

 

You oversee the operation and maintenance of ICET systems, ensuring they meet production requirements, safety standards, and industry regulations.

 

You develop and implement strategies for enhancing the reliability and efficiency of ICET systems, identifying opportunities for improvement and driving continuous improvement initiatives.

 

You coordinate with engineering, operations, and maintenance teams to ensure seamless integration and operation of ICET systems across all FPSO units.

 

You troubleshoot and resolve complex issues related to ICET systems, leading root cause analyses and implementing corrective actions to prevent recurrence.

 

You ensure compliance with all relevant safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements, integrating these considerations into ICET system management practices.

 

You manage and oversee ICET-related projects, from initial planning through to execution and commissioning, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to required specifications.

You provide technical support and training to team members, fostering their professional development and enhancing team capabilities.

 

You stay informed about emerging technologies and industry best practices related to ICET systems, applying this knowledge to improve system performance and reliability.

 

You prepare and present reports on ICET system performance, project status, and improvement initiatives to senior management and stakeholders.

 

 

JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Control Systems Engineering, Instrumentation Engineering, or a related field.

An advanced degree or professional certifications in ICET systems is preferred.

For Brazil: CREA active (Conselho Regional de Engenharia e Arquitetura
(Architecture and Civil Engineering Regional Council)
Fluent spoken and written English.

  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in managing ICET systems or engineering roles, with a strong background in instrumentation, control, electrical, and telecommunications systems within the oil and gas industry.

  • Proven experience in leading teams, managing complex projects, and driving system improvements is essential. Experience with FPSO operations is highly desirable.

  • Experience in relevant projects in oil and gas industry acting as engineer or interface coordinator.
  • Available to travel internationally (short term), including on-board vessels (exceptionally).
  • Ability to work independently and quickly assess and prioritize situations.
  • Proactive, good interpersonal communication and supervisory skills and strong commitment to a team culture.
