Purpose

  • As Lead Logistics Coordinator, you manage the logistics team and critical shipment required on the projects or needed for our operations. You play a critical role in ensuring timely deliveries, cost-effective transportation, and seamless coordination between different stakeholders involved in the supply chain.

Responsibilities

  • Supply Chain Coordination: You plan, execute, and lead the logistics activities and lead the logistics teams as required.
  • Transportation Management: You lead the arrangement and optimization of transportation methods to meet delivery deadlines and minimize transportation costs.
  • Vendor Management: You ensure collaboration with suppliers and vendors to secure timely delivery of materials and equipment, you negotiate contracts, and you lead the resolution of any logistical issues.
  • Compliance and Safety: You ensure all logistics operations adhere to safety regulations, industry standards, and legal requirements.
  • Communication and Reporting: You maintain effective communication channels with various teams, providing regular updates on logistics activities and addressing any concerns promptly.
  • Problem-Solving: You lead the identification and resolution of logistical challenges in a proactive and efficient manner.
  • Mentoring: You mentor and manage the allocated logistics team and support their activities as required.

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field, plus relevant experience in logistics or transportation.

Experience

  • Proven track record in logistics coordination within the oil and gas industry or similar sector.
  • Proven expertise with transportation modes, regulations, and shipping procedures relevant to the industry.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities to collaborate with internal teams and external partners.
  • Strong adaptability and problem-solving skills to address unforeseen challenges and changes in project and operations requirements.
  • Proven team management experience.
