Purpose

  • The purpose of a Cost Control Officer is to assist in the accurate tracking, analysis, and reporting of costs, thereby supporting the organization's cost control efforts and contributing to financial efficiency.
  • Where necessary, it may include preparing and controlling client invoices.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in tracking and recording all costs associated with vessels or departments
  • Maintain accurate and uptodate cost data in financial systems.
  • Prepare cost reports and summaries for management, highlighting key findings and potential areas for cost savings.
  • Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts by providing accurate cost information.
  • Ensure that cost control practices comply with company policies and relevant regulations.
  • Document cost control procedures and support process improvements.
  • Work closely with other departments to gather costrelated information and support cost control initiatives
  • Prepare client invoice documentation and follow up on invoice submission
  • Maintain an accurate invoice register

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.

Experience

  • 0-2 years of experience in cost control, financial analysis, Credit management or a similar role.
