Background

  • The Offshore Integrity Supervisor reports to the unit Maintenance Superintendent and has a technical/operational alignment with Asset Integrity Construction team. They are responsible for the execution of painting program, spool replacements, repairs on piping and structure, removal and installation of insulation, removal and installation of PFP, etc. The Offshore Integrity Supervisor will support Asset upgrade activities (brownfield projects) and shutdown activities (shutdown projects). They lead vendors and participates on planning and execution activities.

Accountable For: Responsibilities & Standards

  • 1) Implementation of Management System
  • 1 Promote safety awareness and broad application of the Management system, codes of practice and prime policies.
  • 2) Management Of Personnel
  • 1 Demonstrate leadership and exercise role as company representative onboard.
  • 2 Liaise effectively with all relevant onshore and offshore departments.
  • 3) Control of Works
  • 1 Lead welding, painting, scaffolding, construction activities and vendor’s teams
  • 2 Ensure installations are performed efficiently in accordance with the approved Task Risk Assessment and Permit To Work
  • 3 Ensure a smooth synchronization of activities, eliminating occurrence of Symptoms
  • 4 Identify the technical issues and escalate them as appropriate, to ensure early resolution and to facilitate the execution
  • 5 Provide guidance and technical support to the Installation Work Package issuance
  • 6 Identify systems to be offline when a spool replacement is required for the planning schedule to be divided by packages and to capture unforeseen opportunities
  • 7 Ensure effective communication and clarify grey zone with Project Engineer / Offshore Superintendent when things are not clear in task plans
  • 8 Approval of WO request and backlog control, being responsible for the closing of all executed WO from discipline
  • 9 Be accountable to the planning and execution, maintaining or reducing duration of activities
  • 10 Run risk assessment and toolbox talks ensuring the different departments are working together to ensure safety and efficiency during execution of task plans
  • 11 Cascade the safety rules and ensure that the rules are understood and applied by the team.
  • 12 Anticipate the necessary safety training for the team and report the needs to the HSE advisor.
  • 13 Supported by the HSE advisor, continually maintain a high level of awareness on HSE topics and procedures amongst the team via training, awareness sessions.
  • 4) Emergency Response
  • 1 Carry Out Emergency Response role (See Station Bill).
  • 2 Demonstrate competence in Emergency Response drills and exercises.

Pre-hire Qualifications and Experience

  • Degree qualification in Engineering Discipline or Technical qualification potentially acceptable with proven experience of more than 10 years with production facilities.
  • Experience in Upstream oil and gas industry, ideally: FPSOs, Piping Inspection/Construction, Asset integrity.
  • Technical knowledge on construction activities such as welding, painting, scaffolding, spool replacement, PFP, and insulation.
  • Experience in shutdowns and major unit projects
  • Planning and scheduling knowledge
  • Experience in Non-destructive inspection with a significant piping materials/corrosion background.
  • Good sense of economics and good analytical skills.
  • Proficiency in English at a minimum of B1 level according to the CEFR international standard.
  • Medically fit according to The Company GEMS Instruction Health Requirements to Work Offshore.
