Purpose

  • As Offshore Maintenance Engineer, you are responsible for managing the maintenance activities within an offshore unit, ensuring that all tasks are aligned with the unit’s operational goals and regulatory requirements. This role involves planning and mobilizing resources, coordinating with various stakeholders, and ensuring the quality and efficiency of maintenance activities. You play a key role in maintaining the unit’s operational integrity by managing the maintenance backlog, participating in procurement processes, and supporting both corrective and planned maintenance efforts.

Responsibilities

  • You manage the maintenance backlog for the offshore unit, ensuring timely and effective resolution of outstanding tasks.
  • You participate in the planning of backlog management, addressing both short-term and long-term maintenance needs for the unit.
  • You align with the Maintenance Superintendent and Supervisors to develop and execute strategies for backlog management.
  • You implement the maintenance strategy as outlined by the department Lead and Manager.
  • You plan and mobilize resources for major maintenance activities and third-party services, ensuring all necessary personnel and equipment are available.
  • Collaborate with Fabric Maintenance and SPIE teams to guarantee the execution of their respective scopes.
  • You oversee the execution of routine maintenance offshore, ensuring that tasks are completed on time and within budget.
  • You update and maintain the unit’s maintenance budget master plan, providing regular reports on progress and expenditures.
  • You ensure corrective maintenance tasks are properly logged in the system and closely monitor the unit’s maintenance Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
  • You participate in the development and execution of planned shutdowns, contributing to the scope of work and ensuring smooth operations.
  • You ensure that offshore supervisors and superintendents are compliant with SBM procedures when performing their duties.
  • You support the procurement process flow, ensuring that all necessary materials and services are acquired efficiently.

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering,
  • Industrial Engineering, Metallurgical/Materials Engineering or Automation Engineering.

Experience

  • Experience in maintenance practices (minimum 2 years, desired 5 years)
  • Oil and gas experience (desired)
