Purpose
- You ensure the unit operates costeffectively by monitoring and analyzing expenses. You will develop and manage budgets, identify costsaving opportunities, collaborate with stakeholders, and prepare timely, accurate financial reports to support management decisionmaking. Additionally, you will ensure compliance with audit and financial standards.
Responsibilities
- You play a critical role on unit 3Y budget preparation by gathering planned maintenance plan, OPEX historical financial information, past performance data, and inflation, including revenues. You establish clear financial goals for the next three years and financially lead all stakeholders.
- You monitor and analyze the unit’s costs to ensure they align with the budget and proper allocated, breaking them down by departments, projects, and periods (month, quarter, year). You use spreadsheets and financial management software to organize and calculate the data. You review the budget with the unit’s manager to ensure they understand the costs and that your forecasts are realistic and achievable. You make adjustments as necessary and identify areas that need attention or correction.
- You prepare monthly cost control reports by unit, analyzing deviations from budget projections and any intermediate targets. This includes rolling forecasts, quarterly and yearly cost variances, cash projections, and budget versus actual comparisons. You present these reports in a practical manner to both onshore and offshore operations teams, as well as the consolidation reporting team, ensuring clarity and actionable insights for effective decisionmaking.
- You play a crucial role in managing and controlling the approval of purchase orders for the unit. You ensure that allocation and budget are clearly identified during the approval process. Additionally, you monitor the purchase order throughout its lifecycle, ensuring it reflects accurate information in financial reports. Variations, opportunities, and threats are presented promptly and clearly to the operations team.
- You collaborate with the financial team to manage cash flow, maintain accurate accounting records ensuring compliance with standards, and enforce internal controls. You prepare for external audits by ensuring all financial documentation is accurate, accessible and with the proper record.
Education
- Bachelor Degree in Accounting, Business, Engineering, Economics or Finance.
Experience
- 2-5 years of experience in Controlling or Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A).
