Purpose

  • The Operations Support Manager draws a consolidated vision of business control, contract management, and operational excellence. The Operations Support Manager isHe/She brings a strong sense of business acumen into the heart of operations. The Operations Support Manager is reducing the span of control of the Operations Directors  enabling faster and data-driven decisions in alignment with business goals.

Responsibilities

  • You lead a cross functional team of Business support leads covering Business controls, Operations Excellence and Contracts management.
  • You define and develop strategies and business processes to improve performance, ensure sustainable growth and success across the operating fleet.
  • You deliver business planning to enable Operations Director and Area Operations Manager to address strategic challenges, by leveraging and linking expertise within the business controls (planning) and execution teams.
  • You conduct analysis including scenario planning exercises and cost vs performance benefits, to provide recommendations in support of strategic decisions.
  • You provide delegated leadership over the contracts management team to ensure we maintain active and healthy relationships with our client. This may involve negotiation of amendments, supported by Operations Commercial team when needed.
  • You drive effective communication, aligning and streamlining communication protocols and reporting.
  • You contribute to the Regional Business plan own by the Operations Director, then cascade and and support the Area and Unit Operations managers to define and execute well defined business objectives.
  • You lead key strateging development projects.
  • You manage vendor relationships.

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field. A Master’s degree is a plus.

Experience

  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in operations management within the oil and gas industry, with a strong understanding of shorebase operations.
  • Proven track record of managing complex operations and leading teams in a high-pressure environment.
  • In-depth knowledge of safety, health, and environmental regulations in the oil and gas industry.
  • Experience in budget management and financial oversight.
