RESPONSABILITIES:
- To represent, assist and provide support to the in country Management for all operational issues relating to the Offshore Installations (FPSO) for which the incumbent has been assigned and reporting to the in-country OPERATIONS or Country Managers as defined by the in-country organogram.
- To ensure the provision of required technical assistance from internal Monaco Office based departments and also from relevant outside bodies such as manufactures, classification societies, etc.
- To provide from GEPsing offices the day to day support on the operation of the allocated Offshore Installation by liaising with the in country Operations management.
- To provide onshore cover at the Operations Office during Operations Manager planned absence.
- Ensure that all technical responses to offshore process, engineering and marine evaluations, management system deviations, OQ feed backs and procedural changes are correctly coordinated and the technical content reviewed for accuracy within the company management system policies including HSSE policies, operational procedures and COP’s (Codes of Practices).
- Provide directly or coordinate necessary technical Process, Marine or Engineering assistance and advice to support the in country onshore management and the Offshore Installation.
- Provide availability for necessary technical support and operational guidance to resolve offshore and onshore issues as they arise, including detailed liaison with Monaco SPG (Special Project Group) or critical Vendors follow-up outside the country of operation.
- Ensure that all the Offshore Installations KPI’s are maintained to a high standard with regular reviews, clear and concise record keeping including both the streamlining and future enhancement for effective monitoring of process, Engineering, and Marine related activities, including application of the offshore chemical regimes and HSE objectives.
- Monitor the continuous status of the ABS SafeNet with respect to the inspection schedule and associated conditions of class and report discrepancies to the in country Operations Managers.
TECHNICAL AUDITS:
- Ensure that all the prescribed technical audits are conducted in a timely and coordinated manner and that all outstanding actions are monitored to a satisfactory and safe close out.
MANUALS and OFFICE:
- Assist with the coordination and technical input into the creation or development and final implementation of the operations manuals (Procedures and Generic Code of Practices) to ensure that a satisfactory standard is achieved and maintained through existing and new Installations.
- Liaise with the Offshore Superintendents to ensure their input is evaluated and included into the manuals.
- Participate in design reviews, HAZOPS and HAZIDS to provide operational input as required.
- Maintain up to date information regards the status of Maintenance and Safety Alerts.
OPERATIONS OFFICE SUPPORT:
- Undertake as directed by the Operations Manager specific assignments to the Operations Office or other Offshore Installation to support operations.
CONTRACT and BUDGET:
- Assist in country management with commercial and technical contracts, liaising with the Company Legal Advisor in Monaco on relevant issues such as loss claims, etc…
- Assist in the development and preparation of operating budgets and investment plans.
- Perform other tasks that may be required as part of Operations Engineer role.
MAIN TASK:
- The Operations Engineer provides Engineering guidance and support to the FPSO to ensure it is operating in a safe and efficient manner and meets all contractual obligations. The Operations Engineer is also responsible to ensure the FPSO does not have any safety, environmental or process issues due to engineering-related issues.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Must be an EG National.
- Engineering qualification in the Process, Engineering, Marine or related industries.
- HNC in an Engineering discipline or equivalent;
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience providing Engineering support to an offshore asset;
- Excellent MS Office skills;
- A minimum of 2 years of experience working within a relevant industrial environment or associated Contracting oil or Construction Company.
- Fluent English and Spanish and/or French.
