Purpose
- The Area Construction Manager is responsible for delivering and leading the construction activities within the assigned scope (Topsides, Vessel, Integration, Brownfield etc), in compliance with HSSE, Quality, on time in line with schedule requirements and within budget.
- You oversee all construction activities in your scope, coordinating with engineering, procurement, and project management teams to ensure alignment with overall project objectives.
Responsibilities
- You manage and oversee all construction activities within a designated area of the project, ensuring alignment with overall project objectives.
- You manage a team of construction professionals and subcontractors, fostering a strong safety culture and promoting collaboration.
- You develop and maintain detailed project schedules, monitor progress, and implement corrective actions to address any deviations related to your scope.
- You resolve technical issues and provide expert guidance to your team, ensuring all construction activities meet design specifications and quality requirements.
- You prepare and present regular progress reports to project stakeholders, highlighting key achievements and addressing any concerns.
- You coordinate & interface with yards, project management, engineering, procurement, and operations teams to ensure seamless integration and execution of construction activities.
- You monitor construction activities progress, identify potential risks and issues, and implement mitigation strategies to ensure projects targets are met
- You provide guidance and mentorship to the project construction team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and technical excellence.
Education
- At least a Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering or a related field with sound and comprehensive understanding of construction principles, project management methodlogies, and HSSE regulations.
Experience
- 10+ years of progressive and combined hands-on construction experience and project management expertise in the construction, energy or related industry.
- Possess a combination of construction experience, project management skills, leadership abilities and proven track record of successfully delivering construction projects.
