Background

  • The Crane and Hydraulic Specialist support the maintenance team by offering technical expertise related to the maintenance and repair of offshore cranes and hydraulic systems. They can lead technicians through those complex equipment issues, implementing effective solutions that ensure optimal performance and reliability.
  • With attention to detail, they ensure adherence to procedures and regulatory standards, ensuring compliance with OandM contractor requirements and local regulations across all facets of work.
  • As technical leaders, they leverage their seniority, extensive experience, and knowledge to mentor mechanical technicians.

Pre-hire Qualifications and Experience

  • Proven experience and/or qualified to N/SVQ/HNC/HND in Mechanical Engineering or local equivalent.
  • Extensive experience in Hydraulic Cranes Maintenance. Offshore environment would be preferable.
  • Good knowledge and understanding of Crane and Lifting International Standards.
  • Good knowledge of CMMS systems such as AMOS / IFS and ePTW.
  • Strong planning and organizational skills.
  • Experience and knowledge of hydrocarbon processing systems and utilities.
  • Good experience of Permit to Work, Mechanical Isolation Standards and Risk Assessment.
  • Proficiency in English at a minimum of B1 level according to the CEFR international standard.
  • Medically fit according to The Company GEMS Instruction Health Requirements to Work Offshore.
