ROLE PURPOSE

The Engineering Project Engineer provides support to the Engineering Project Manager (EPM) in managing engineering work including engineering deliverables, man-hour and schedule control. The Engineering Project Engineer works across all engineering disciplines to ensure work performed on the project is in accordance with SBM quality, systems and safety requirements.

ROLE CONTRIBUTION

1. In order that the Project scope is properly defined and planned YOU ARE TO: 1.1. Provide support to the EPM to define and develop discipline scope by understanding and evaluating project requirements 1.2. Ensure the project team is fully aware of project requirements and specifications and delivers a design that meets project needs, corporate standards, and industry regulations 1.3. Partner with EPM and Discipline Leads in preparing the engineering schedule and manpower planning ensuring work is completed in accordance with the overall project milestones The measure of your effectiveness in this will be:  Demonstrated understanding of scope and schedul

2. In order to achieve effective interface management YOU ARE TO: 2.1. Work with EPM to develop the scope of work for subcontractor and follow through 2.2. Ensure Discipline Leads give full consideration to construction and installation aspects of their designs, as well as cost and schedule implications of their work 2.3. Assist EPM in resolving discipline issues between the relevant Discipline Leads and stakeholders in Construction, Procurement and Project Controls 2.4. Establish and maintain close working relationship with EPM, Project Management Team, Operations, Procurement, Construction and Client 2.5. Understand and monitor all interfaces with Class Society/other regulatory bodies and Clients to ensure requirements are properly addressed and relevant documents are reviewed timely 2.6. Assist EPM in preparing project close-out, including as-built documentation and engineering close-out reports The measure of your effectiveness in this will be:  Adherence to engineering execution plan and schedule  Feedback from stakeholders (EPM, Project Management Team)

3. In order to manage change with minimum impact on the overall project YOU ARE TO: 3.1. Track and coordinate changes with Discipline Leads ensuring team members follow the management of change process; ensure recorded changes are followed through 3.2. Proactively identify and monitor areas likely to change to reduce the “surprise” element, added costs and delays to project 3.3. Coordinate the interfaces with subcontractors and third party consultants and ensure all changes are captured through MOC process The measure of your effectiveness in this will be:  Adherence to Management of Change process  Resolution of changes within agreed budget and timeline

4. In order that engineering deliverables achieve required quality and safety YOU ARE TO: 4.1. Ensure work is performed in accordance with project requirements and specifications 4.2. Assist Engineering Project Manager in organizing regular inter-discipline review meetings and interface checks 4.3. Assist Engineering Project Manager to ensure Design Reviews include the appropriate attendees and manage the action register to monitor the close-out of identified action items 4.4. Support Engineering Project Manager in identifying dependencies and obtaining alignment with project stakeholders to ensure safety and quality are not sacrificed in the effort to meet the project schedule The measure of your effectiveness in this will be:  Demonstrated quality of deliverables  Zero changes that compromise safety and quality  Cost of Non-Quality
