Operations HSSE Lead

 

Rope Purpose:

You are responsible for supporting and implementing health, safety, security, and environmental initiatives across operational activities.

You work closely with the HSSE Manager and other stakeholders to ensure that all operational processes comply with HSSE regulations and standards, driving a proactive safety culture within the organization.

 

Role Responsibilities:

  • You enforce health and safety policies, ensuring all operational activities adhere to regulatory and company standards.
  • You conduct and review risk assessments, identifying potential hazards and ensure implementation of control measures to mitigate risks.
  • You support initiatives to minimize the environmental impact of operations, ensuring compliance with environmental regulations and promoting sustainable practices.
  • You participate or lead investigations into incidents, near-misses, contributing to root cause analysis and the development of corrective actions.
  • You design and deliver awareness campaign programs to enhance employees' awareness and understanding of HSSE practices, ensuring that safety protocols are well understood and followed.
  • You develop and maintain emergency response plans, ensuring that the team is prepared to effectively respond to potential incidents.
  • You stay informed about relevant HSSE regulations and industry trends, helping to ensure that the company remains compliant with all legal and regulatory requirements.
  • You conduct regular HSSE audits and inspections, identifying areas for improvement and ensuring corrective actions are implemented.
  • You collaborate with cross-functional teams, contractors, and external agencies to promote HSSE best practices and ensure alignment with organizational goals.
  • You coach, mentor and guide HSSE Team members in your area of operation to ensure development and knowledge enhancement.
  • You support initiatives aimed at continuously improving HSSE performance, contributing to the overall safety and efficiency of operation.

 

 

Education:

• Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field.

 

Experience:

• Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in HSSE roles, preferably within the offshore oil and gas industry or other high-risk sectors.
