- Offshore Installation Manager (OIM)
Background
- The Production Superintendent will exhibit exemplary leadership, managerial and safety behaviors and will specifically ensure that all aspects of production activity are carried out effectively and efficiently. The position will suit personnel Onshore hydrocarbon process operations background.
Authority
- The Production Superintendent assumes responsibility for safety, financial, logistical and operational aspects of production activities and is responsible for the competence of those under his immediate supervision.

- Production Supervisors, visitors, vendor technicians, and sub-contractors.
Accountable For: Responsibilities & Standards
- 1) Management System
- 1 Promote safety awareness and application of company Management System, COPs and prime policies.
- 2 Report concisely in accordance with Management System requirements with due regard for document control.
- 3 Ensure timely and effective closeout of survey and relevant audit actions.
- 4 Ensure âChange Managementâ procedures are applied appropriately.
- 5 Contribute effectively to incident investigation, review and reporting.
- 2) Personnel
- 1 Manage the operation of the vessel systems at department level through supervisors and subordinate staff.
- 2 Exercise appropriate authority with regard to career development, providing training and support in terms of competence assurance system
- 3 Ensure probationary and annual appraisals are completed fairly and consistently in timely manner
- 4 Promote training and competency assurance throughout the Production Department in line with Company goals for the Unit.
- 5 Encourage and support Supervisors to achieve training and competency targets with particular regard to appropriate time allocation for this area of work.
- 6 Manage welfare and disciplinary issues at departmental level with appropriate reference to OIM and Fleet HR
- 3) Works
- 1 Efficient operation of unit systems having due regard for Health and safety
- 2 Ensure full compliance with PTW system, and Risk assessment and verification
- 3 Efficiency improvement and pursuance of company goals.
- 4) Contract
- 1 Manage operations in conjunction with all department heads to maximize efficiency and uptime
- 2 Maintain effective cost control and promote cost awareness in others
- 3 Maintain awareness of key issues relating to client and sub-contractor relationships
- 4 Close liaison with client representative ensuring reports and information are produced in timely and effective manner
- 5) Emergency Response
- 1 Manage Emergency Response to limit of responsibility with due regard for safety of personnel, vessel and environment.
- 2 Demonstrate through exercises and scenarios, knowledge and awareness of emergency response techniques
- 3 Demonstrate knowledge of potential impact of incidents and scenarios on vessel safety and security
- 4 Contribute effectively to preparation of useful exercises and to post exercise/ incident review and investigation.
- 5 Carry out Emergency Response role
Recruitment Only-Generic Functional Competencies
Pre-hire Qualifications and Experience
- Proven experience and results-oriented career AND/OR HND or Degree equivalents in appropriate engineering subject.
- 2 years minimum as Production Superintendent (or Operations Office based equivalent).
- Experience and knowledge of hydrocarbon processing systems and utility systems.
- Supervisory experience of Permit to Work, Mechanical/Electrical Isolation Standards and Risk Assessment.
- Proficiency in English at a minimum of B2 level according to the CEFR international standard.
- Medically fit according to The Company GEMS Instruction Health Requirements to Work Offshore.
